I don't remember the last time they didn't have home ice in the final 5 but it looks like in order to get it this year they're going to have to sweep UMD and hope for some other teams to lose. What are the odds this will happen?

SCSU plays at UND, so that a huge positive for Minnesota. Even though I can't stand them.

It is mathematically possible, but in reality the odds are extremely slim. The Gophers are going to be on the road in the 1st round.

I believe it was Lucia's first year as Gopher head coach. They went on the road and defeated CC in two games.

Huskies will split with UND and no chance for the Gophers to get home ice. It kills me to say this but I really want the gophs to win the first round so I hope they end up playing Mankato as they will get it done versus the Mavs. Would be a bad thing for the final five with no gophers and I also hope the huskies (if they make it) can face the gophers one more time.
