Which channel is it that covers the state tourney. I wanna say KSTP. I had a hotel (Kelly Inn) 2 years ago that didnt carry the channel. Before I book the hotel this year i wanna make sure I find one that carries the games I dont attend in person. Can someone help me out!

There's also a hotel around Mystic Lake Casino that doesn't carry that channel as well.

I sure wish FSN had it so I could watch over here.
You would think a tourny this well known could get a lot of viewers throughout the whole northern US.

What channel is the tourney on in Duluth?

The news coverage thus far has been terrible. For other sports it seems like there is a prep extra every night. Maybe it's because the hockey market is smaller.

But the tournament coverage is always good.

The hockey market in Minnesota is way bigger than for any other sport. How many people do you see at the Championship events for any other sport?
I'm going to guess though that the strib doesn't want to overload on high school coverage, and they have to cover a state tournaments results the day after it finishes (wrestling/swimming). A hockey preview should come early in the week.

I was hoping Fox9 would carry the tourney! Well I'll be in Winona during the Thursday games...anyone have a clue if I could catch it on TV here? I'm almost positive we don't have KSTC... :(

Almost forgot though KSTC is working through B2 online to broadcast it for a fee..anyone use this last year? I'm assuming quality must be pretty good for pay...

Bought the B2 Online last year and plan to do it again. It was decent-probably as good as your bandwidth and speed. On my laptop, I was able to switch over to a 2nd browser when Lou Nanne came on.....

being that FSN has covered high school hockey during the regular season the past few seasons do you think they will ever put in a bid to cover the state tourney when 45's contract is up?

Does anyone know when that is?

mnhockey, I'll be in Winona on Thursday myself (probably back home for the Friday/Saturday games though). Anyways, I think we are out of luck as far as the games being televised here. I'm going to purchase the online broadcasting of the night games on Thursday...it costs a little but I've been told the quality is good and I believe it's just KSTC's broadcast thrown online....

I was just informed I'm wrong. I was told that they air the tournament on one of the local stations for us down here...It may be a Fox station but I'm not sure. Your best bet (as I'll do) is to check for the Class "A" games on Wednesday as I'm sure they'll be on some channel....

Ahh, no it's not. The HS tournament is a great minnesota tradition. But the vast majority of Minnesotans do not follow hockey. Heck, I am a hockey fan and I can admit that football, basketball, and baseball are not rivaled by any other sport.

Ahh, yes it is. If you say that then you are not a true hockey fan. Baseball doesnt have theres even broadcast. Football doesnt have all the games on tv. And None get 18000 ppl in a building with more waiting outside with no luck getting tickets. The State tourney in MN for hockey is like Football in Texas. UNREAL.
