Does anyone know why they rope off the first two rows for the Class A games? Are they doing it this year? One chance someone might to get to sit on the glass at the X.

Just a guess....Because when the puck goes in the corners all the idiot kids who are sitting along the glass turn and wave at the TV cameras and lean against the glass. It's something that always annoyed me years ago watching it on TV from the Civic Center.

They don't want the kids hanging or climbing on the glass. They do the same at Aldrich and every game that I was at this year.

it doesn't make any sense that they would rope off the two rows for section A because kids would climb and bang on the glass. Aren't kids going to be present during the rest of the tournament as well?? Maybe the joke about making the stadium look more crowded isn't so far off....

no one on here probably knows cuz they have never seen it

haha, they might as well rope off all BUT the first two rows, at least then the "masses" exit in an orderly manor.

Keep all the drunk parents from puking on the refs and climbing the glass!

During the Class A games, it's all general admission so the student sections get as close as they can to the glass, so roping off the first two rows keeps them from banging on the glass. Plus there is still plenty of room for fans even with them roped off.

During AA games, students are mostly in the upper level. If there are students in the lower bowl its usually the band up front with students behind them.

In short, they do it to keep fans off the glass.
