What are some of your favorite places to eat during tourney time? I'll start by saying that Cossetta's is my favorite and one of the most popular places to grab a bite to eat at...for those who haven't made the trip they have some of the best pizza and mostacholi in town. Any other places to suggest?

Savoy Inn Pizza

Mancini's - but you'll need reservations (made mine 4 weeks ago)
one of the few times a year they take reservations.

McGovern's Turkey(real), mashed potatoes and dressing are the best bet and a decent value. Have it @ least twice along with several slices of Cosetta's pizza of the day. Leave there and stop and have a "Black and Tan" @ the Liffey, but only when the loser MNHOCK crowd is not there. Mickey's Diner also a traditional stop for breakfast prior to Thursday's early session - decent food, but better entertainment.

It is a place to be checked out. You can get all the info here (might want to check out the staff page)... essentially it's about 1/2 east on 7th St. in downtown.

If anybody wants to experience a little taste of the East Side (and be honest... you know that you want to!), one of my favorite places to go growing up was Yarusso's. It's just outside of downtown - East on 7th St., take a left on Payne Ave and go down about 4 blocks.

The place looks like a cross between a bar from Goodfellas, and a polish grandpa's basement. Great food. Fair amount of Herb Brooks stuff on the walls as well (at least there was - it's been a while since I've been there).

Almost forgot about Degidio's. About a 10 minute walk from the Xcel if you walk down 7th street past Cossetta's and McGoverns (just past the interesection of 7th and Smith Avenue). Fantastic pasta and Dago's...can't go wrong here.

First the Payne Reliever, now Casey's... you're just a ray of sunshine today, ain't ya?!

Eagle Street pub, its right on the corner across from the Xcel and up the hill...great burgers, and not too harsh on the wallet. You can kep an eyeon the crowds from there too

If I'm not mistaken, a Cretin grad owns that place. I'm not 100% sure about that, but it's still not worth the risk to me... I usually steer clear.

Can't say I've ever had that experience.
