Caschetta is lucky they picked this team prior to the end of the Championship game otherwise the list looked solid.

BSM goalie over Cashettta, and drop Ness.

I don't know just who could have been dropped, but, Woodburys' Ben Goff had a great tournament as well.
He finished with 5 goals and 3 assists including a hattrick in the Consolation Championship.

Is he related to Pat Goff?

He is either Pat or Dan's son.

I agree with the Goff suggestion... Leading scorer of the tournament. Woodbury's goalie Brandon Wigen also had a great tournament...outplayed the Edina goalie for sure.

If he was the leading scorer in the tourney, that's really bad that he wasn't selected.

They usually just pick the two goalies in the championship. Willie Paul and Cashetta both had less than stellar finals, yet both were on the all-tourney team.
Congrats to all the players selected.

I guess you have to win your first game to make the list?

Not true. Ben Hanowski made it Little Falls in Class A.

Because as a defenseman, he stopped everything in his tracks in all three games. Defense won him the honor over offense. In all honesty, Bo Dolan could have received it as well.

I dont know if you HAVE to win but Ive never seen anyone on the teams that have gone 2 and out or lost in the consolation.

Overall, I'd say Caschetta had a good tournament, but don't know that I'd put him on the All-Tourney team. I think a case could be made for Anders Lee, but I guess points are perhaps the top factor for a forward, which I guess he didn't have a ton.

I thought that Bo Dolan should have made the team. Also felt that possibly Issac Kohls could have been picked over Dan Cecka. It seems that sometimes the all tournament team is picked based on who the big names were coming into the tournament. Although Ness is a great player, I didn't think that he had a very good tournament.

Yes I have seen players from AA consolation make the All-Tournament Teams in past years.

If Goff had 8 pts. he shoulda been selected and BSM's goalie instead of Caschetta otherwise it was a solid team.

How does Ben Goff the leading scorer in the tournament with 8 points not make the all tournament team. They shouldn't make it so obvious that the tournament means nothing that you have to play well in the season also to be on the all tournament team.

I think Matt Reber from Edina led all scorers last year and was not on the All Tournament team...it helps to win that first game. Goff will have his name in the program forever as the 2008 Class AA leading scorer.
