Well for the Pioneers in state:

Bo Dolan, Tyler Zepeda, and really the entire defensive unit. The two sophomores (Jordan Johnson and Chris Casto) played exceptional.

I agree. The state tournament was the only time I saw the Pioneers play all season. Their entire defensive unit played smart, physical hockey.

I agree completely. He's not as flashy as some of his teammates, but he's one of the most reliable defensemen I've seen in HS, rarely making bad decisions or passes and frequently saving his team on breakaways.

I don't think Zepeda was that great hillfan..but the whole defensive unit for H-M was outstanding. I also think Zierke from Benilde should be mentioned

I say roseau since they only gave up 13 goals in 3 games. I think to 2 players from roseau should be all- tourny with a 1-2 appearance

Well they won state in convincing fashion...

But I must say I was impressed by Benilde's D this week as well.

Tommy O'Donnell- Bloomington Jefferson

I'd have to agree with O'Donnell as well. i know a lot of high school hockey fans are aware of him but still didnt get some of the spotlight or publicity of other players because he played on a young jefferson team this year. a good, crafty player who put up solid numbers for 3 straight years. I'd also add Aaron Jamnick of Hibbing (65 points- junior), Jordan Lovick of Centennial (53 points - sophomore), and Ryan Johnson of Blaine (63 points)

Hard to argue with that list. I'd also throw in Tyler Landman from Roseau. 8)

He absolutely stole the section final against Minnetonka, so he for sure is un-sung. I believe he was only a Sophmore, so we should be seeing more of him.
