2008-2009 Winner Of 4A?

With Sta losing many players are they still the top team.
How will SSP be? Are they losing many sen.?
Mah. I know they are losing a couple good players and that one good young D also.
TG? They lose 2 good sen. forwards and 2 pretty good D. They also have 11 Returning players for next year i think?
Who will Win Class A Section 4 Next Year?
Your Thoughts?????

I thought I seen on the roster this year that SSP had 13 seniors.

It all depends on STA's recruiting class for the coming 2008-2009 season.

Oh, and STA formed a bantam team, but whatever. You don't care about that, because those kids are recruited too right? STA's VAST economic resources bankroll hundreds of scouts to attend Mites and peewee games to fill our bantam roster...
Soon STA will be using their vast intellectual advantage to genetically engineer hockey players so they won't have to recruit! Now if only they could get public/federal funding for our project or the school, oh wait....

SSP will ride the greatest goalie in the history of high school hockey to an undefeated season and a section championship.
In all honesty, I have no idea who is going to come out of this section. It's going to be a real barn burner and I'm looking forward to the outcome 11 months from now

STA loses a bunch from this year but will probably reload and be the favorite. SSP and Mahtomedi both lose a lot of seniors but return a lot of their better players from this year and should both be pretty good. SSP's bantam team was solid, not sure about Mahtomedi's.
Anyone know for sure the status of Walters and Isaakson for next year?

STA's jv team lost like two or three games, so it may not be recruiting.

If this is true. This just proves that they do recruit because STA wants them to play for them 1 or 2 more years and teaching them the same systems as the high school.
This makes it easier for STA to see what they have coming up instead of driving all over the metro area to find there talent. Now they just need to attend Peewee, Squirt, Mite, and Mini-mites games to field there teams.
Wonder what happens to that bantam player that they thought was good in peewees and now sucks in bantams. Do they encourage that player to play for sibley.

It was a Bantam B team and they were a good bantam C team. not a feeder program for the high school but a team that represent the boys school community. Kids playing hockey with their friends like anyother association does.

Should be an interesting year in section 4A come next season...the top four teams from last year should all be competitive again. I'm sure STA will reload again, but I'm not too sure they will be as powerful as this past year. Don't know much about SSP and Mahtomedi.....I have heard that TG has a good number of young players in the system as well....My prediction is Totino and STA fighting for the top spot with Mahtomedi and SSP closely behind

Like who... besides Delisle? With Nagel, Schlagel and Delisle (only one returning) scoring a lot of their goals last season someone is going to have to step up.

Wasn't it SSP that had that ridiculous goalie a couple years back? That was fun to watch. I remember him having 50 saves a game or something. Who was that?

I believe your thinking of Stalock who took them to state a couple years ago, he is now at UMD. Wilcox i believe is Stalocks cousin.

Hockman....as I said earlier, i don't know much about Totino, but I said they had a lot of young guys who played a good amount this season...not sure about how much they produced as far as points are concerned, but I believe I heard they are only losing 4 seniors who played a regular shift this season. Therefore, I think they should be able to compete

So out of the the top 4 teams in this section. how many sen. is each team losing? Or just players with sta maybe losing those 2 sophs.

yah unfortunately for the bantam players on this years team at most one of them will ever play varsity for the cadets
