How did goalie Austin Eakman get left off the final 54, he only gave up 3 goals in the tourney for the 5A/AA team that won it, and I believe the other goalie gave up about a 1/2 dozen and he was selected?? was it the strength of the opponents they faced or what?

Don't know what Eakman did in the first two games, but in the championship game the other goalie for 5A/AA Larsen played out of his mind in the first half. The shots were something like 25 to 6 and section 4 was only up 2 - 1 I know shots are not everything, but the Larsen kid played pretty good with a lot of offensive zone pressure.

Like I said, not sure what happened in the first two games.

Not what he did in youth hockey.

No melt down...they made a good choice.

By the way is youth hockey some secondary event? It is where all the powerful build their programs. Like the Emerald City, the Lost City, Condom Country  and so on

Didn't say it was...again based on the results of the tourney is why I asked the question.
I have no reason to care if either got in other then being a Rogers guy! :)
I'm sure Larson is a great goalie and will do just fine.

You forgot Hill Murray

I feel sorry for the Rogers kid. I mean what chance does he really have to get to the next level? All season long he only sees quality shots during games. The Lost City kids see them everyday in practice...
