That's the same state that Mario Lemieux was trying to get the hell out of less than a year ago, right? The hockey hotbed of Kansas City was more appealing to the best player Pennsylvania has had.

well at least many of the people who commented on the article know what they're talking about.
"If you drive through Minnesota in below Zero weather you will see youngsters playing hockey on a pond....if you go to St. Paul, MN in the first week of March every year you will find 18,000 people going to to arena to watch the best of the best in the Minnesota State Boys Hockey Tourny. No other state is like it, and will never come close when it comes to hockey. Minnesota is and will always be the state of hockey. Its about the culture." I like it

This article while funny to read, may have some street cred.
Consider for a moment that 1 of the 6 or so players that the Gophers are bringing in is a defenseman from Pennsylvania, not from Roseau, not from Edina, not from Lino Lakes, Pennsylvania. Heck the Gophers are even recruiting from there now.

But I understand OUR side of the story. Get real dude, seriously, PA the state of hockey??? Tell that to my kids who played hours of pond hockey with their buddies while I carted down hot chocolate to the kids or a mom brought warm muffins. Did this guy go the X and watch Hill Murray paste Roseau and Edina?? Obviously he didn't. DOes this guy know where the soap is at St Thomas? Nope. Can he find the city of Hill Murray? Neither can anyone else. Is he a Cake-Eater? Bet he is. Would he know that Warroad and Roseau alone have more D1 players than the entire eastern seaboard?

You guys get the point...supposed to break 70 today, now if I can just break 90 on the golf course...

the absolute best part of this "thread" (topic) is that it has so few replies.
Pennsylvania, play your midget hockey, move to the ohl/whl and say goodbye to Pa.
