It's been good
except the whole 3 day hospital visit this past weekend. I could have done without that

It seems like the birds are singing, the flowers smell better, the sun is brighter, and the grass is a vibrant
green. All this and another trophy was added to an already crowded case. All is good.

I'm still debating whether I should schedule another trip to the Carribean next year during the first two games of the tournament. Might be good luck for my squad...
Or a convenient excuse for tropics in March...

Before you count your chickens, you better wait and see who sticks around for another go round. I am hearing 3-4 could fly the coop. Go ahead and live it up for the past performance that was well earned for knocking off 1 - 2 respectively. Next year poses a whole new ball of wax and with a netminder that is unproven to say the least. forwards will be solid if they stay, defense will have 1 solid pair with Kelly/Johnson the rest don't impress.

Defense will be fine, and the non-seniors are staying unless something major changes in their minds between now and august. Goaltending is a toss up but will be resolved. Look for next year's squad to come out firing

Who did win the title in 2008?
I remember Roseau getting robbed in the semis....
but after that, there wasn't anything too impressive to remember...
Congrats, H-M; but remember, March is around the corner,
I can almost feel it in the air.
Next year's champ....
Can you smell it.....
wet, green, wool!

Oh Pucknutz...don't be bitter. If they would've stayed in Stillwater, you would've been singing the praises of the likes of Casto, Bruchu, Faust, Bah and Shaughnessy.

I ain't bitter at all. Sing the Praises they deserved it this year.
As for next year only 1 has limited Varsity the rest will have to make the team won't they? I am more impressed with the Holler kid anyways. As compared to the likes of BDS/Dolan on D no the new replacements don't compare. Johnson/Kelly will carry the load. I can't imagine the goalie getting any more time then McGinly did last year at the Varsity level. As for missing them maybe/maybe not we will have to wait and see.
I guess What it boils down to is the team won't be as strong at D and 3rd line as it was this past year.

How can the pastures get any greener than Hill-Murray?
However, for every Pioneer who does choose to leave, there are seven or more who want his spot.
"D" will be fine... I remember the bored laughing when Ankles Pierre, Jr. picked Dan Sova for his all-AP squad a year or two before all he rest of the "experts!"
Catholics have one only 3 out of the last 4 state AA hockey championships... time for Hill-Murray to carry the Catholics' holy water for awhile to get that .75 winning percentage up closer to where we want it.

Well, if the amount "fertilizer" you've been spreadin' this spring has anything to do with it, I'd have to agree that the Pioneer pasture will look either very green or just plain stinky...

Let me paraphrase that for all you. He's predicting The EDINA HORNETS TO WIN IT ALL NEXT YEAR!

People have been picking Edina for 2 years now and they have fallen flat at state both times. I predict something different this year however. I think they fail to make it out of sections.

Next time your wife wants to watch TMZ or American Idol, you could just watch a recording of Roseau getting rolled by the 2008 world champs (that's what AP would do).
Sparlimb... that "Who will win the Roseau versus Edina state championship game?" thread is still one of my favorites.

Losing in the final to Hill-Murray is 'falling flat'? C'mon, give the Pioneers some credit.

Yeah I wasn't very impressed with Roseau this year or last year. The hardest game they played all year when they won was the section championship game vs moorhead after that it was a cake walk for them. Roseau>Grand Rapids>Rocherster Centurary>Woodbury.
Well they did have Aaron ness. Who's amazing!
But next year I don't think they'll make it past the quaterfinal game at state.

You are wrong.
I was just being kind when so many of you offered (at the time) to buy me a beverage. I did not want to deny you the opportunity of welcoming your poor, country, plaid-shirt to your fine community.
And next March when the bantam A state tournament is in Thief River Falls, I will reciprocate. Oh, wait, some metro folks thought it a better idea to have all the youth state tournaments in the metro area.
I guess you get to buy again.
