One Piece Sticks?

I was playing hockey the other day when I broke my "one-piece" Warrior dolomite stick. Upon inspecting the stick near the blade, I detected a very small line that I thought was a crack. To make a long story short, the line turned out to be where the blade was inserted into the shaft. I always thought that a one piece stick was all one piece. I was later told that the new tapered blades are made to fit into the shafts of one piece sticks. Are all the "one piece" sticks really made of shafts and blades similar to the traditional shaft / blade sticks?

The shaft and blade on your stick are considered one piece. Although they are not made from one. What I think you are getting here is, can I cut off my blade near the bottom and add a new blade? You can cut of most all brands of sticks and insert a new blade in them. Since you have already broke your stick, cut it off about 6 inches from the blade. You will find it to be hollow and will be able to put a new blade on it. My guess is that where ever you buy a new blade, they will put it on. It may change the flex on yur stick though, the more you cut off, the stiffer it will be. When you put on a new blade, it will stay on just like a one piece if it was done right. The one thing that adds a lot of stiffness to a stick or shaft is when you add an extension to the top of the stick. You would do this as your player grows and gets taller.
