I've heard the Royal Blue team is 4-0. Rosters are posted at Minnesota Hockey.

i would have guessed that the teal team with 4 kid from Shattuck would have an edge from a chemistry perspective.
i hope to make it there on thursday.

Two of them play for the Tier 1 team and two play for the Bantam "A" team, so that cuts into the chemistry issue at least a bit.

actually, I think that eliminates the "chemistry" issue.

First Place game: Blue vs White [aka Orange]

Third Place game: Teal vs Gray

Fifth Place game: Red vs Gold

I think this is correct.

White over Blue 2-1

Teal over Gray 4-3

Red over Gold 6-4

C. Horn (Blue/Armstrong) looked consistently good.

national camp selectees: these aren't 100% correct

from blue: Grant Schow, Matt Hansen, Matt Van Voorhis
Alternates: Christian Horn, alex glockner, and austin lanoue

from teal: anthony greco, e.j. faust, austin rudnick

don't know other teams but i think everson, leblanc, cotroneo, birkinbine, hinz, boyd, sit made it

there may be some politics involved in evaluating which players get picked. but these kids were fun to watch. the boys seemed so quick for 15 & 14 year olds

Yeah I'm sure there was politics but for the most part it looks like they picked the right kids. I totally agree with the speed of the games at the camp almost every kid was a great skater and could do something with the puck. It was a phenomenal week of hockey.

i thought boyd, ambroz, cotroneo, and van voorhis were top superior every time they touched the ice

I am sure there is some kernel of wisdom in this. Let's see if I got it:

You have three that made it...therefore you have great players and no politics. Oh I get it, because your three made it, there is no politics. No wait, because the three from edina are studs, there is no politics. Or maybe because the three studs from edina made this team, and you just produce great players, there is no politics. Yeah I get the logic. I am glad that they are such deserving studs. That simply does not negate the fact that there is politics in hockey.

Wake up and smell the hockey. The politics start with who gets invited to the district tryouts for this festival and ends with selection Friday. It's great that you had three make it. But, don't act like your in utopia.

I am sure your three so called studs were very deserving and have never had anyone lobby in their favor, because they just are so much better than anyone around them and everyone falls over in amazement. Heck every association has that. Only three? Why limit yourself? Keep livin the dream man.

My comments were originally in response to someone elses comment. I hadn't actually thought about the fact the Edina is the holy grail and free from all hockey politics. Its like a no politics zone. A virtual haven. A land flowing with talent, nothing but talent and no politics in its hockey association.

Congrats to all these deserving players for standing ahead of their peers.

I am wondering how many of these boys were first year Bantams this
year and are returning to Bantam hockey next season?

I see 10 93 Blades selected, that's a fairly good showing for one spring program. Hill Murray looks in good shape with 3 JV players (2 on D) playing well. Edina also with a really good showing with 3 excellent players. Surprising to see 2 Shattuck kids survive the politics of anti-AAA-Shattuckcism that exists. They must be talented kids. SHout out to Moorhead-Bemidji-Hermantown-Duluth-Willmar-Hibbing-St Cloud!!

Return to Bantams

janzce, the only 2 kids out of that group that I know to have Bantam eligibility left are Judd Peterson and Travis Boyd. With Boyd obviously heading back to Varsity, not certain of Judd's status, depends on who pursues the young man for next season. I am sure Randolph will make a serious push for Judd to put on a Hounds sweater.

No Dunnick or Molenaar is surprising. I'll take Walker over Hansen in a heartbeat..no offense intended here, I've watched them both for years.
