Benilde should be down, and it's good to know their JV team can hear again.

No one who is knowledgeable about B-SM talking to the bored?

At least Cretin has Packerboy... though PB is not very knowledgeable.

Benilde, maybe I should Test Your HS Hockey Knowledge....

They are losing a lot of seniors...Their whole first line (which is a huge loss), Zierke, Bergland, Applehof, Student, MacCarthy.. and more from the 2nd and 3rd line as well. They will not have much depth next season, one of their captains next year barely even played last year, and they will have a jr gold B player as their 4th defenseman... Patterson is a good forward but wont take the team on his back as he is only a junior next year. They will obviously win their conference, but I dont think they will make it through sections with EP Tonka hopkins etc... Their goalie, Jacob Meyers, is very good. He will definitely help them win some close games.

I don't think Benilde has an answer to losing the five you listed. I saw them play at Mariucci vs. Minnetonka. Those players had a lot of talent and heart.

Meyer appeared to be a calm, talented goalie. He may be one of the best in the state for his age. I didn't notice the Patterson kid. Borer should be very good on the blueline.

Benilde wont be awful next year and heck, might even come out of that section. At the end of last year, you had to give that section to eden prairie but with all their losses, who knows... Their first line will be very good with Patterson and Glynn and strong defense from Borer and Daly. Second and Third lines might struggle but Meyers will prevail in net. From what i hear this is a tight group of kids, many coming off of an undefeated JV season. A couple games into the season, let them gain some confidence, get some experience and then watch out. Pauly has done a great job with these kids and they have, without doubt the MOST DIFFICULT SCHEDULE IN THE STATE! Edina, Shattuck, Minnetonka, Duluth Marshall... experience like that could take them a long way in that section

They will not have a jr gold B player as their 4th d-man... The Defense will be Borer, Daly, Anderson, Knutson, the last 2 were quality defense off the jv. There are many other quality d-men that will fight them for those spots as well

I would expect benilde to have another good year next year. In 06 when Hill-Murray lost Hoeffel, Skarda, Arrigoni, Guentzel, McCallum, McEnaney, and Pryor did anybody expect that team to go to state again the next year?

I'm not as optimistic. Besides Borer and Meyers, BSM will be young and inexpereinced and no matter how god Pauly is as a motivator, the Red Knights don't even make to the section finals next season.

Benilde will struggle. Meyers will keep them in many games, but they won't score enough to win any big games. Borer is a great skater but not an offensive threat. Glynn will have a big year. Patterson... a little skill, but lets just say never battles. With Tonka and Ep in their section, chances are slim, but you never know come playoff time.

without doubt the MOST DIFFICULT SCHEDULE IN THE STATE!
No they won't even have near the most difficult schedule. Look at their conference for crying out loud...Cooper, Chisago Lakes, St. Francis, the second best team will be TG! Just because they have a few difficult games, doesnt mean they have the hardest schedule. The teams with the hardest schedules will be the lake conference teams, and perhaps Tonka, Edina, and maybe Wayzata.
And yes, there is a transfer that played jr gold b at edina last year, who will have a spot on the bsm varsity squad.

Where is Jack Paul when you need him?

Pauly has talked to the conference head and has made it possible so that BSM will only have to play the weaker teams in the conference once this year. They have scheduled Holy Angels, Centennial, Edina, Hill Murray, Duluth Marshall, Minnetonka, Rochester Century, Cretin, and Stillwater. Maybe "Without Doubt" was the wrong phrase to use, but it is not going to be easy going on this team. It sure will gain them alot of experience that will become useful come playoff time.
But I can tell you this for sure, There will be no jr. gold b players on the varsity team at Benilde. Sure, they are hurting for players, but theyre not hurting that bad. The first two lines will be full of kids that can hold their own at the varsity level but then it may drop off a little. But it sure won't drop off that much

Jacob Horton is a Freshman that was the best player on the Wayzata bantam team last year and would have been the captain for them this year. Could very well be the best player in the state in his age group. Benilde will be ready come late February when it counts. Pauly IS one of the best coaches in the state and will have the Red Knights ready.

Daly, Patterson, Myers, & Borer - bsm will be just fine ( probably a fair amount of single "a" schools wishing they had bsm's problems)

BSM will have a "down year" but by the end of the season we might still be seeing them at Mariucci for the section finals. Everyone knows about the big stars Patterson, Meyers, Daly, Borer etc. but I'm more excited to see some young talent develop and turn this solid roster in to a perinnial powerhouse.

First of all he was not the best player on the Bantam A team last year that would be DJ Jones,Tabery,Jensen, Richards, then maybe Horton and the best player in that age group is Travis Boyd. so yeah thanks

They will have 6 good defensemen
the 4 mentioned, (Borer, Daly, Anderson, Knutson) and a sophomore in Steinhouser and a freshman from wayzata in Horton
