Ah, back to my favorite, speculation. In no particular order for both classes. I know most only concider AA the true top class, but Roseau may be the best team in either class, and Blake close behind?

It's all preseason, so who knows? Just going with my feelings, seen them play several times last year, can't say I see them beating all the others in that group. So what's your list?

And how about Breck in Class A? My guess is they'll be in the Top 3 or 4 when LPH comes out with their pre-season ratings.

I love my WBL bears but, a lot of things would have to happen to be top 10. We lost 8 seniors. Lets hope!
ClassAA
Grand Rapids
Edina
Hopkins
Roseville
Stillwater
Hill
Centennial
Irondale
WBL
Andover/Burnsville
What about teams like Wayazata, Bemidji, Morehead, Coon Rapids, Burnsville, BSM etc.

Final QRF from last year. I don't think you can jump up radically unless you get a huge infusion of talent, but you can certainly jump down by losing to grad/Thoroughbreds.
On paper, I would say EP, AHA, Roseville and BSM lost too much to be top 10.
1 Eden Prairie (26-1-1) 142.3 (lost everyone)
2 Grand Rapids/Greenway (23-3-2) 138.3 (lost #1 scorer)
3 Edina (19-7-2) 135.7 (lost little)
4 Roseville (21-4-2) 131.6 (lost #1 scorer and a couple other of top 6 scorers)
5 Stillwater Area (22-4-2) 127.4 (lost #1 scorer)
6 Holy Angels (21-6-0) 126.4 (lost #1 scorer that was huge % of goals)
7 Hopkins (22-4-2) 120.9 (lost little)
8 Eagan (20-7-1) 117.0 (lost 2 goalies, lost 2 of 3 top scorers)
9 Centennial (24-4-0) 116.0 (lost G)
10 Benilde-St. Margaret's (22-6-0) 114.3 (lost most of top scorers, G)
11 White Bear Lake (14-9-3) 111.5
12 Duluth Area (17-6-4) 108.0
13 Hill-Murray (19-7-1) 107.1
14 Cloquet/Esko/Carlton (11-12-3) 106.6
T-15 Elk River (19-7-2) 105.6
T-15 Proctor/Herm./Dul. Marshall (20-5-2) 105.6
17 Minnetonka (16-10-1) 105.5
18 Wayzata (13-8-6) 104.6
19 Bemidji (15-13-0) 102.7
20 Blaine (15-10-1) 102.1
21 Cretin-Derham Hall (14-11-3) 101.6
22 Moorhead (17-8-1) 96.8
23 Burnsville (14-11-2) 95.1
24 Eastview (19-7-1) 94.9
25 Hastings (19-8-1) 94.1
26 Rochester Mayo (20-7-1) 92.8
27 St. Cloud Tech (16-9-2) 91.7
28 Andover (13-11-2) 91.6
29 Irondale (19-5-1) 91.3
30 Coon Rapids (11-14-1)
Why is Irondale on everyone's top 10 list. They getting a big influx of talent?

Wow if these are right Sec 4 is a killer with 4 of top 10......Roseville, Stillwater, WBL and Hill Murray.....
SEC having 3 of 10 very impressive...
WBL - lost a top goalie and I thought a ton of seniors if they pull this off hats of to the players and the new coach.

Irondale has McDonald and Lorence who are amazing 50+ point girls and Bye who is very good to go along with Brown in goal. They will a have to come up with D though.

It's pretty shaky to predict by looking at last year's stats and counting what the teams lost for scoring. Roseville's juniors have been starters since they were freshmen and will do fine, plus they'll reload to replace the graduates. EP is so incredibly thick with talent I would think they will put a good team on the ice. If you're looking just at last year's scoring you must have noticed that all of Irondale's studs are underclassmen and will be one year older.

I will take a stab at it.
Stilwater has to be the favorite hands down. They have a complete team.
Edina is a real close second. all the talent in the world, but what about the new coach?
Hopkins has a great team that came close last year but did not advance. Ramsey will carry this team.
Roseville has a very good team and losing a couple good players will not hurt them as much as one might think.
Grand Rapids will be solid as well. Great team from the north with good balanced scoring and a few young players ready to step up.
Here are my picks!!!!!
1.Stillwater
2.Edina
3.Hopkins
4.Roseville
5.Grand Rapids
6.Hill Murray
7.Centennial
8.White Bear Lake No WBL they deserve to have their name spelled out!!!
9.Duluth
10.Benilde-a private school with great history a so-so team?
29.Eden Prarie-Why did no one put them in the top 10
Remember this is just my opinion. Choose your favorites.

Now we are talking! Nice Picks everyone! Someone asked why not EP, well, they lost lets see, EVERYONE, and oh they don't have much left. Edina, who's going to score, lot's of D, a young goalie, and what? White Bear, (sorry I abreviate everything I can), still has a LOT of talent. BSM, always there, but lost a TON, and not enough to concider in the top 10. Tons of teams that could and may be there, but you have to cut it some where. Season will tell. But for now, this is fun! OH SORRY, I said "Fun" again.

Edina is a real close second. all the talent in the world, but what about the new coach? - they may have one of the best coaches in HS and enough talent for three HS teams....
Hopkins has a great team that came close last year but did not advance. Ramsey will carry this team. - Ramsey is at Minnetonka
Agree with many of your picks and rational:
My Projections
AA
1) Edina - strong returning team with great depth and young challengers - Buie will carry the scoring but like last year look for F & D to all score - lots of balance.....coach with great playing experience who has pushed girls this summer and already changed some things. Only issue is will the parents follow decisions....to many top players and not enough room for all...this group won state at U12 and U14....
2) Hill Murray - lost very little through graduation - have 6 strong seniors, return top three lines and 5 top D and McKeever a new Sophmore goalie who was a top Bantam A goalie last year for Woodbury. A total of 51 trying out for the team so they could be on the front end of building a very strong tradition.
3) Grand Rapids - strong all around Gallop is a big scorer they have enough D and good goaltending.
4) Hopkins - Kortum, Johnson, Stephen's scoring and Kallie Billadeau in goal - my pick as new top goalie in the state - all adds up to a big season.
5) Roseville - Top D plus the dynamic duo of Brausen of Capistrant - Allan will more than fill the goal.
6) Stillwater - really top forwards led by Dahl, Charpentier, King, Tuuri, Salomen. Sobczak in goal is very strong and will have to be will face more shots thna in the past. D are unproven best one is a 9th grade NDP with game.... overall though D may not have enough speed for tough conference and section.
7) Minnetonka - Ramsey, Friend and company could surprise.
'8) Irondale - they might be in shoot outs but they have lots of gunners led by McDonald, Lorence and Bye.
9) Duluth - most of team back and strong goalie
10) tie Centennial - gritty team play / WBL solid group [/b]

I agree with your analysis (its as good as any) but I think you meant Kortum, not Ramsey (who plays on Minnetonka).

I agree EP lost lots of players (13 seniors last year?) but they still have the LaCombe cousins and a couple of other good players such as McMahon. However, I agree that they don't have enough to make them a contender this year.
As far as Edina they have 2 senior goalies and a junior goalie so I don't think that is young. They also have a Freshman with a lots of talent but she recently tore her MCL and ACL while skating out (ala Daunte Culpepper) so she won't be available until next year. As far as scoring Edina has at least 7 or 8 that can put the biscuit in the net. Look for the scoring to be balanced (They have a tough schedule and there will not be any 50 goal scorers but they will only lose 3 or 4 players from last year and I predict that many players will have double digit goal numbers). It will be interesting to see how the team responds to a different coach.
I agree that WBL has talent and should do well but I don't think they have enough to get past Stillwater or Roseville.
I agree with you on Benilde. One of their better players, Jordyn Burns, broke her ankle in NY but she should be back in form by mid season. Benilde lost a lot but has some solid players to fill in but its anyone's guess whether or not it will be enough. Herbst is a good coach so I suspect by the end of the year he will have them playing great team hockey.

Edge, agree with all there. Didn't mean to offend Edina, just watched that team for at least 5 years now, and they tend to always have the deepest team in the state, but never seem to be able to push it over the top, why is that? Maybe the new coach will help that, maybe this is their year. And I was wrong on the goalies, just know they have some young but very talented goalies.
Like your take on White Bear, they may be the interesting tell this year. Them and Minnetonka will be interesting to see how they fair. I think the northern teams may surprise this year also. Unfortunately some of the best northern teams and maybe the best in the state over all, are playing A.
SuperStar, not throwing shots at EP at all, just stating facts, nearly every kid that played and contibuted left now, other than those already stated. I'm sure they will be a good team, but top 10. Maybe they will surprise? Please explain what makes them a top 10 team, I'd be glad to read it. My team, I just enjoy watching all hockey when ever and where ever I can. My favorites to watch from last year were GRG and Roseau! This year will have to be seen. And just for Edge, Edina was may favorite a few years back, and they ran in to an exremely tough draw with EP in section.

I am NOT saying we should be in the TOP 10 or that we are gonna make a run at a title...
I just hope when the eagles play your team, we knock the crap outta them, cause you have mentioned it in 3 different post that they have nobody left.
I am not throwing shots at you either...I just want you to eat your words... Thats all.
