Last year:

1. Eden Prairie
2. Eagan
3. Eastview
4. Burnsville
5. Chaska
6. Apple Valley
7. Lakeville North
8. Jefferson
9. Rosemount
9. Lakeville South
11. Kennedy

This year should be wide open. Predictions?

Is that an Apple Valley, Eden Prairie or Kennedy Eagle? Or maybe all?

I guess SUPERSTAR won't care about EP this year because they will fall in the 2-11 area and closer to 6-11.

Looks like a fresh kill--must be EP.

Nice picture..! I was just poking fun...It should be a great year for all the teams.... Remeber - I love the smack talking, but it is in good fun...

Like I said before, if we go .500 I will be happy.

I think EP will be better than most think they are going to be. They graduated alot but still have talent in the program. If teams take them lightly they may be surprised.

Who did they play, and how did the games look?

I wasn't there - I was out of town watching my sons pwa team get the beat down..

But I do know they beat Rogers 2-0 and not sure who else - I still need to get the 411 from my daughter... Don't worry I will you updated on the Eagles every move... 8)

Ep Update

vs Rogers 2-0 (sorry - I had this as 2-1 originally...)
vs Blaine 1-2
vs Shakopee 3-1

Blaine has a very good squad - good size and strength. Shakopee has lots of speed - but a bit smaller. Rogers had a couple of big guns.

EP looked like they will create some good opportunities once these girls have more time to skate together.

EP looked pretty good, good speed and worked pretty well togather
Blaine looked pretty good, good speed and pass well
Shakopee small, quick they were without their big scorer she left sick or hurt,
Rogers was pretty good do not know many of them,

But it is early I would not put to much into this,

No interest in the big game thread for even the ranked Lake Conference games? Oh well.

I have a suspicion there will be at least one and possibly two Lake teams in the state tournament (again).

Big Lake Conference games this week:

After a win Saturday, Eagan has a busy 3 game week including Breck Tuesday and EP Thursday.

Not sure if Eagan can go 4-0 in one week, but the Wildcats get the first shot at killing the Eagle's (2+ year?) conference win streak.

The streak ends at game 1?

Can EP win with EP girls?

Will Eagle Nation will stop posting if it fumbles out of the gate?

From the feathers, you can see the bird is clearly an EP eagle.

From the camera angle, I can't yet tell if it is a wildcat, cougar, jaguar or panther eating the eagle.

Who knows, they all may eat the Eagle!

Hey folks,

Take a stab at the prediction of this Thursday's matchup.
I will go first.

Eagan 4
EP 2
And no empty netter.

My guess would be EP will start out 1-3 on the season.

The two Eagan games vs. Breck & EP have been added - didn't mean to overlook these.

Thats was good..! :) After 58 straight Lake Conference wins, we got the monkey off our back and ready to start playing HOCKEY! Hats off to Eagan - they played well. We have a very young team, The Red & Black Machine will roll again, soon..

7 goals on 20 shots wasn't exactly a beating...But go ahead...Take your shots while you can...
