What did Jordan have to do to play high school hockey as an 8th grader?
Does anyone know what the rules are regarding 8th graders playing high school puck? Anyone know the wisconsin rules on the subject?

Funny question to ask in the MINNESOTA High School hockey forum.
But on a brighter note, I performed a quick google search and found a place you might not get such smartass answers.

7th and 8th grader students are allowed to tryout and compete for a HS Varsity team according to the MSHSL by-laws. Girls HS hockey has alot of 7th and 8th grade players as the number of players is still relatively low. Wrestling also has a fair number of 7th and 8th grade wrestlers on a Varsity team, especially at the lower weights.
BYLAW 105.00 GRADE LEVEL ELIGIBILITY
Cross Reference: Bylaw 302 (Cities of the First Class), Bylaw 109 (Seasons of Participation)
and Bylaw 303.4 (Junior High School Bylaws)
Participation in League-sponsored programs is limited to students in grades 7 through 12. Students in grade 7, 8, and 9 may participate only if they are enrolled in a continuation school for that high school.
Elementary students grades K-6 are not eligible for any participation in League activities.

I second that. I've seen every game this year and especially love his creativity and passing ability. Hope he stays around for at least one more year 'cause he's real fun to watch!

Any freshman first line center for the Gophers has a very, very bright future in the Pros. Also with a linemate like Ryan Stoa you can't ask for a better opportunity to put up some points.

Especially since he, like Aaron Ness, completed high school in three years and are now playing for the Gophers instead of skating their senior seasons. In addition, Jordan was one of the top players in points on the USNDTwhere he played the majority of his games against D1/D3 opponents. Both boys have bright college careers. Will Jordan's size potentially hold him from having success beyond the college level?

since Jordan is now playing for the Gophers, why don't we talk about him in the college forum...

The original question and answer belongs here, discussion of Jordan's current team and play should move to the college forum.
Re:Wisconsin My understanding is that players are not eligible to play high school sports until 9th grade in Wisconsin.
