Who do people like in this one? Three extremely close games last year and Jefferson will want to avenge the OT loss in sections.

Jefferson 6 Burnsville 2

Bursville lost a lot of talent from a year ago and the Jaguars have most of theirs coming back. The Jaguars make an early statement that they are the best in the Lake.

man ive been waitin all summer for this game.. Although jefferson is probably the best in the lake and burnsville is going to be a middle of the pack team i feel burnsville will come out gunning.

I think everyone is underestimating the first line at burnsville..

Im saying 3-2 burnsville in a shocker... Come see me

Jefferson won't underestimate the first line of Burnsville, I'm pretty sure they scored all 4 goals during last year's section game. They know what that line can do and they will be ready for them.

Starting the season with jefferson, Hill Murray, and Edina? ](*,) Not the schedule I'd want for a rebuilding team.

Jefferson should kill burnsville. jefferson's junior class alone could beat burnsville.

Tough match up for B'ville early. Burnsville will be like they where 2 years ago when they relied on 1 line to score, play good team defense and ride a outstanding goalie. That year they started out real slow and came on strong at the end. Jags to much for this Blaze team this early in the season.
Jags 4
Blaze 2

Theres no way burnsville has a shot in this one. With jeffersons strong junior class and great goalie Casey O'Connor they will have a tough enough time even scoring a goal.

the thing is, burnsvilles first line will be different from the one that scored 4 goals last year in sections.. Zack king wont even be playing saturday due to a suspension and jefferson doesnt even know who dylan kes is taking his wing spot. Im gonna call the goals for burnsville.. Kes with two and branson with one, 3-2 burnsville...

Jefferson is talented but burnsville is very defensive and will surprise the jags this weeekend..

Instead of Kes, (who had a sweet 4 points last season  )I predict Burnsville will pull phenom Teddy Dunne up to varsity

Im not so sure about that. The Jags will struggle this year in the nets. O'Connor is inexperienced and there is a lack of depth beneath him as well. If there is one thing holding the Jags back I think it is in the nets.

jefferson wins 6-2 jefferson has more talent.. plain and simple... jefferson has a good grip of forwards and very solid defense too. problem will be the big guy in the back. and koho im guessing your on burnsville or go to that school, cause every post i see of yours is talking about how burnsville will do this and this.

It's the home opener at BIG, you know the student section and the fans will all be there. It's the first game the Jags have played since last season's heartbreaking loss to Burnsville and now they get an opportunity to start fresh this year at home ready to make a statement against that same school burnsville. I wouldn't expect anything else but a fired up Jags squad Saturday night.

As far as the game goes, great match-up between b'ville and jefferson's top lines. I'm assuming the Jags will go with the junior studs versus b'villes op line. What will decide this game will be the fact that the Jags assumed second line should play very well versus the blaze because the second line should consist of veteran senior players Gallus and Siiro who were actually top line forwards last year. As far as 3rd or 4th lines i really can't say much until they play but the Jags have talent and look for them to show that talent Saturday. I don't see this as a blow out because every Lake conference game is hard fought but i see the Jags taking this one:

Jags 4
Blaze 2

I'm going to the game tonight. My pick - I'm going with tradition and will take the Jags to put out the Blaze 7-1. The Blaze score first but the Jags come back early and often.

I don't know where you got that score GVvikes?

Jags 4
Blaze 2

Jags came out strong early and were leading 4-0 going into the third. Burnsville got a couple and made it interesting.

Decent game but a little sloppy. Burnsville was using a number of fill in players and still made for an exciting game. Jefferson doesn't appear to be as big of a threat as many thought they would be based on this game. It will be interesting to see what happens when BV plays them again with their regular starting line up instead of the subs.

Give this one to the Jaguars but look forward to an exciting game next time they meet in Burnsville!
