major consequences under some governing body.
its not fair that some kid worked his tail off to make a team and than come 3 kids who suck out of nowhere to make an a team or highschool team.
this is out of control in all associations and it wrecks the game of hockey at its best in mn...
edina- we all know
----i just saw champlin parks roster and they have kids who i know are totally terrible now playing on varsity as 10th graders where they hardly never ever will take a tenth grader....they are going to get spanked this year.
I could name many cities and proove this. this has to be stopped it is wrecking our game can we start something to stop this for the future
seriously i feel bad for these kids!!!!!!

Sounds good, you govern it. Get back to us on how that goes for you.

I don't know what you are talking about with Edina. The best players make the team, every year. NAme one player who made the team at the high school level who didn't deserve it.

i dont know about this year they have a lot of kids who got cut out o their program that would play varsity in other cities which happens with good assocaitons.....
but at the assoc level squirt, peewee, bantams i think a lot of people would agree......
this is something that could be governed

How do you propose to do that?

Perhaps not allowing parents at practice, games, or any other team functions... Then lock all the coaches in a box when they are not dealing with the team. This way the coach will never be exposed to parents and the community... and the parents will never see their kids play, thus they won't have those dillusional thoughts about their kid being on the fast track to the NHL.

It will never be governed, as it is a coaches decision. As long as the coach has the support of his administration, he calls the shots - that's what they are hired to do.
As to Edina players making other teams, I'm sure they could, and I'm equally sure other programs would love to have them. But, they live in Edina, go to school in Edina, and there are only
twenty roster spots in Edina. Its called depth.
