Doesn't look like the Minnetonka of last year, beating Chaska only by 3 and Park by 1. This will be the first true challenge for both teams.
Anyone know where it's played? Heritage Center?

East was just challenged by Wayzata. So this will be there 2nd challenge, if it should even be considered that.
5-1 East.

I think the answer is 0 since they're on East.

Well, we do like to think we're in a different league from everyone else...
Max Tardy (UMD)
Derek Forbort (North Dakota)
As for the game, I'll say East 4, Tonka 1.

I give East the edge because they are home where they can play "Northern Hockey".
East-4
Tonka-3

I had heard about him, and assumed he was pretty good considering his future college career, but I was really impressed by his vision. He is really really good.

One of my favorite kids from East that doesn't get mentioned like some of the other player is Jake Williams. He moves the puck really well, is a good skater, and very solid for his size.
I think East wins it 3-1.

I agree with the comments on Jake Williams. East's top 4 D are all very good. Derek Forbort is big, quick and has excellant vision to go along with very good skills, his partner Al McLean compliments him well and moves the puck extremely well, Joe Arbour is big, strong and fast. He might be the key to East's whole year. I could see all 3 Seniors playing juniors next year and continuing to improve. Forbort the best one is only a Junior.

Ugly, ugly win for East. 12 penalties, but they somehow managed to kill 9 penalties. Great performance by the defense and Cooper, who still is yet to allow a goal. They need to figure out how to stay out of the box if they want to beat Centennial, though.
East has held Wayzata and Minnetonka, two pretty decent teams, 0-for-15 on power plays. That's bordering on ridiculous.

Good play by East's goalie tonight, really kept them in the game and probably the reason they won tonight. East looked pretty undisciplined taking some stupid penalties. Nice goal by Tardy.

They play a very aggressive penalty kill... Tonka had very few shots on the powerplay.
