Benik, Delisle and Sachs will continue to score big because they are quality players and they dont play any real competition. Hanowski will continue to score because he is a STUD and they play a mostly if not all class A schedule. M. Anderson will be surpassed by the many better players that are on the list below him once they get more games in.chiefofmedicine wrote:HappyHockeyFan wrote:Who are the top 5 scorers, how many points and what teams do the play for?

Lake has been playing conference games since the opening night of the seasonchiefofmedicine wrote:yeah but pretty sure no one has started conference play yet at all, so what conference they come from as of now holds no real ground. I'd like to see those kids playing with a team in one of those conferences too, who is to say that wont only benefit the kid, having more talent around him.

tahts a big conference, with a lot of good teams.hockeydude39 wrote:Lake has been playing conference games since the opening night of the seasonchiefofmedicine wrote:yeah but pretty sure no one has started conference play yet at all, so what conference they come from as of now holds no real ground. He's one of the top players in the Tri-Metro this year, if not the top player. Pretty good size and very skilled.thedoctor wrote:i heard that M Anderson really isn't very quality. Any opinions?
i disagree with herbert...sorry he's good but no way will he lead all forwards. he has 5 points and benik has more than 20 in about the same number of games. bloomington's schedule will not get many games blowout games in the lake conference, so there won't be games where he can have 6 points like benik is getting. benik's schedule will never be too tough except conference games against bsm and tg.imbetterthenU wrote:bloomington jeffersons faust will lead that state for defensmen in assists and goals by the end of the year
and herbert will lead forwards
Some of Benik's games are missing... he's actually at 55 points.chiefofmedicine wrote:who is staying on this list?

Since you are new to this forum, I don't get how you can say we overrate kids like based on stats because we clearly look at more than that on the board. That being said, Hanowski is one of the top players in the state, and A-Rated Player by the NHL Central Scouting and an SCSU rucruit and will get drafted. The others mgiht nto be D1 players or get drafted but they are still good players and a high point total is an accomplishment. I don't think any of us have gone only by point total in our evaluations of players and really have no clue what you are talking about.cctndr30 wrote:None of these guys would have 10 goals in the Lake or Classic Lake with a schedule against Tonka, Jefferson, Eden Prairie, Edina. There are ten players in each of those conferences that are better than any of these guys but won't get noticed on the "most points" scoreboard. What's more, with the exception of Mattson, none of the top scorers would have over 5 full strength goals. Measuring players by points without any judgment about who they play against no matter how good the "SEEM" is exactly why their parents are angry when they don't get drafted. I'm wondering if we all aren't the problem. We just accept someone as a great player because he can score against Meadow Creek (WHO?) or Providence Academy, or Holy Family. There should be a measurement about how many goals and points you get against top 20 teams, AA teams, and, finally, 5 on 5 points should be weighed higher. If you don't think the D1 coaches arent' looking at this you all need help. A guy who scores 70% of his points 5 on 5 in a atop conference is worth a lot more than a top scorer or a power play scorer in a weaker conference hands down.
