Whos going to win tonight? I think it will be a close game either way. If West can slow down NP's first line they have a shot to win this one.
My prediction,

West 4
NP 3

Should be a dogfight. It will probably come down to goaltending, and by all accounts NP got some good goaltending against Lourdes.

Anyone that was there wanna say any details or anything? Did West show potential of competing come section time?

West will definitely be there come section time. It looks like Lourdes, NP, Red Wing, Albert Lea, West and Faribault will all be capable of winning games in late February. It will all come down to who's hot and who's not.

As long as West's goalie Trautman gets better as the season progresses the team should be in good shape come Section time. Also they have 5 total Sophomores/Freshmen on the team. Look for them to progress as the season goes along as well.

Freshman/Sophmores

You have to remember that New Prague also has a freshman who saw plenty of action last night as well. Also, the goalie playing last night and against Rochestor Lourdes is also a freshman. Next, New Prague has at least two sophmores finding plenty of ice time.

Heres my take on this game. I thought it was a pretty even matchup. However I was not impressed with Trautman in net for West. New Pragues golaie looked good and that was the difference. I was surprised at the team speed and overall the performance by Mankato West. I was really expecting them to be a tier 2 team in this section. However after watching them play I think they could beat anyone in this Section on the right night. I would like to see there Sophmore goalie get a shot in net. If they can improve there goaltending it will make a huge difference. New Prague is really just one line and its a good one at that. Teams will have to shut down Lapic and Adams or there in trouble.
