Just looking at the PS2 rankings. Is Rosemount really 0-6? How can this program not win any games? They had some very good youth programs over the past half dozen years? Anyone know anything about them? Did players leave?

From watching them once I know they had a goalie in the net that really struggled. They have tried another one but he has struggled as well with the exception of the most recent game against Eastview. Another they they don't get many shots. Only averaging 19 shots a game. Defense is not much help for the goalie they give up alot.
As far as kids leaving for private schools how that has hurt them I'm not sure. They also have no experience everyone graduated last year.

Thats what happens when you graduate an entire roster but i guess the bright side is that they should be returning most of this team for next year....this year might continue to be ugly though

Rosemount is a great hockey program. Over the past they have fell victim to kids leaving for AHA and STA along with other Lake Conference schools. Last year was the year that they had waited for and everyone in the town knows it. That team was one of the best in the state. The youth programs have not been as good as they wanted to be over the years but they will emerge again and get back to where they deserve to be. Don't blame Macho yet, this is a team filled to the top with rookies. They may not do well this year but once those rookies get experience they should make their way back up the Lake Conference rankings. You can never count out the Irish!

That has been the case with Woodbury for along time before Bolin became coach. Most of the good kids would go to Hill or Cretin or some other private school

0 and 15 is a real tough pill to swallow...

Apparently you missed there 1992 season when they were 4-20-1 coming into the Tournament including one regular season win in those 4 games the other 3 coming in sections, but took runner up while losing to Greeway in the Class A Championship, just wanted to prove that if your going to make a smart re mark about a team you should make sure that the statement is fully true. And you can't look at what their youth teams are bringing up because things can easily change, kids mature at all different levels, and a bad team in peewees can easily change come high school because of that.

Actually, it was the Tier 2 Championship then. The first of two years of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Tournament.

Yes that's true, but at this time people know it as Class A.

Tier 2 and Class A are not even close to the same thing. Tier 2 was the championship for the bottom 50%.

There best chance of winning would be Bloomington Kennedy, other than that I don't see them winning any more.

Well to be pretty honest, Rosemount will NOT have most of the team back next year. They will have close to half since they have I believe 9 seniors this year. All, but the their 1st line played JV last year with the exception of 2-3 sophs.
The main issue they have, is once again with the goalies. Rosemount has been kind of notorious for having mediocre net-minders, and this year is another one of those years. Their goalie will give up a soft 1st goal, then its downhill from there.

Got their first win today against Eastview in a 4-3 OT game.
