I was looking at the web page and it reads "Minnesota's Premier AAA Tournament" How can you be the state's premier tournament when you have never even held an event?
Is this telling about the watering down of Minnesota's Summer AAA hockey?
Minnesota Land of 10,000 AAA teams.

You should register. Tom Ward and crew are going to be scouting the games and answering questions in the lobby.

So because Shattuck is going to be there that makes it the premier tournament. The Shattuck coaches have been at every tournament I have been at. What makes it great?

I guess how "premier" it is depends on which teams show up to play....

Maybe "Premier" as in "First or Initial" is what is meant
Shattuck, while frowned upon often on here, is a School. Those who focus on the right A's would understand that. I understand that last year they had over 400 inquiries of Bantam age hockey players, of that 150+ visited the school and applied for acceptance, of those, 32 students were admitted. If you look at the roster, there are a handful (maybe 7) Minnesota kids on their Bantam teams. Considering those numbers, I don't think "Recruit" is a good word for them as a definition as opposed to "Market".
As for AAA tournaments in Minnesota, there isn't a single one that is on par or anything close to the tournaments and competition held in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto in the spring/summer. Maybe its time SOMEONE in the tournament business (SELECTS or the BLADES), put together 4 true Select regional teams and invite the top AAA summer programs from throughout the US to come here. Now that would be a great tournament with talent.

I dont think its to young. A 96 player could play bantam at SSM this fall and a 97 can be evaluated this fall for the following year. Sounds like a great time to meet players and families.
