Rumor has it that Pitlick will not be able to play in this game. With that said what are Maple Grove's chances of taking out Centennial?

I don't see Maple Grove winning, they haven't beat anyone great, and their ties are against average teams, but ya never know

This game is on Saturday. Centennial has a game Thursday vs Elk River. Will Pitlick be in that game? If so, why wouldn't he be in the game vs Maple Grove? That is if you can say why?

Well weather Pitlick is there or not I think Maple Grove will prove that they can skate with the big boys. I agree with you that this team has not been tested as they will be against the Cougars Saturday night. But how they respond will determine the outcome of the game not who they have played or tied.

if m.g. can play a DISCIPLINED game of hockey, i.e. stay out of the "box," don't engage the referees with any kind of conversation whatsoever, don't throw your sticks into the boards, I guarantee you will win.

A player's "toughness" isn't measured by how much he can dish out, but rather, how much he can take (without retaliating)

I pretty sure he will be out for 2 games which would be ER and MG. And no i cant say why but im sure you could make a pretty good guess.

Ok we will see how well your "guarantee" holds up on saturday. Your acting like MG is the best team in the state. Remember Centennial has tied Duluth East, dominated STA, and beat hill murray 4-1. Even without Pitlick they are still a very very good team.

I don't think Maple Grove needs anybody telling them how good Centennial is. This Maple Grove team (minus a few unproductive seniors) lost 9-1 to the Cougars last year in Sections. I don't think they need any reminder how talented the Cougar players are. I'm looking forward to a fast paced, skilled hockey game. IF Elmer can play to his potential, I am going to take the Crimson in this one. If Elmer lays in egg, Centennial by at least 4 or 5.

Well I do agree with your assessment that MG will have to stay out of the penalty box as do most teams when facing a very good opponent. As for the rest of your statement I'd have to disagree.

Will that be the 2 or 3 game chicken pox? I hope his "hang over" from chicken pox won't affect his future career!

One case of the "chicken pox" wont hurt him too bad, almost everybody gets the "chicken pox" at somepoint in their life.

Well I heard he got the Chicken Pox when he was four, and I'm no Dr. but I think that gives him immunity.

Must've been food poisoning or something...

Back on track MG still gets beat by 3 and is finally exposed as another mediocre team with an easy schedule.

This game is going to be a good one. We will see if Maple Grove's top line can match Hess and Lovick.

Any word if Pitlick is playing or not?

pitlick will not play. centennial had trouble finding their offense without him against elk river on thursday, but they figured it out by the 3rd and scored 4 goals in that period.

Do you honestly think I didn't get it? No need to be so blunt about it, sarcasm to go along with your sarcasm. Haha?

Centennial 2
Maple Grove 1

I think Maple Grove proved they can hang with the best.

Looks like Centennial was just too deep for them as both of Centennials goals came from the 4th and 3rd lines

I've seen Maple Grove play once before this year. They are a sleeper ,and a good looking Team!!!

it was a close game with lots of shots off the post for both teams. Centennial got a fluke bounce in the first period off the boards. The goal in the third was a pretty weak one as well
