AHA vs Hill Murray Tuesday January 13th

The STARS will battle the Pioneers in a non-conference clash of catholic powers. Hill Murray is playing down a little now, but they are capable of coming out and being back on top. AHA is starting conference play. That means lots of points and not much of a game so the non-conference games are needed.
Game is on Tuesday, 7:30 Richfield Ice Arena.
AHA in landslide

I heard they didn't look good in against hill in scrimmage, but if they follow the STA scouting report and the Centennial and Mtka scouting report, then all shots will go stick side and many will go in. AHA did well in Schwans Cup. Could be worth watching.

I don't see Stillwater walking through that door. They don't seem strong come sections.

That was in the past this team is playing better every game. Sorry but WBL is way too up and down, a few more bad games and it is all over for them. The parents even rip on each other for christ sakes.

No doubt Hill is hurting after what has happened. But lets all remember that they are still Hill Murray and still expect to be the best, nothing can change that. AHA is top club and will have a very strong chance to win on teusday, but the pioneers will be flying, they have a lot to prove. As for Hill Murray my hat is off to the school, program, coaches, and players for what they have been through.
God Bless

White Bear is always up and down.. more so this year, but I think they'll pull it together for sections.
For this game, though, I'll go with
AHA 4
Hill 1

AHA 4
HM 1
Well, everybody knows that they lost a couple of "important players." such a shame. But i give respect to hill for the zero tolerance approach. But this is not the appropriate thread to get into "that" discussion. Stars shoud be in full gear this week, they have a tough one ahead of them.

I heard the Hill/AHA scrimmage didn't go so well for AHA but I think they have a better scouting report than Tartan and those four guys aren't really replaceable. You can't replace those points and the physical style of play.
Hill will have to win a lot of 1 goal games like 1-0 2-1 to beat these top tier teams. I like to root against Hill, but only cause I root for the underdog and now Hill will be the underdog.
Hill has to do better in nets than they did in the Schwan Cup. Its that simple. If they can't figure that piece out then they won't have shot without some scoring threat. Still have a couple seniors threats but they aren't three lines deep anymore. Some junior and sophomore needs to step up with some 2 or 3 point games multiple times.
I heard they have a "game" changer on defense on JV. Kevin something. Apparently everyone, players and even the opposing teams wonder why he's not on varsity???? anyone know something about this kid. Then again JV isn't Varsity....
If some non-performers start scoring for Hill and figure out how to put the puck in the net (like shooting ON THE NET) I'd take Hill 4-3, but not so confident they can score, pressure will be by AHA and they win 5-3 unless Hill suddenly finds a stopper in their in net.

I heard different about the scrimmage. I had heard that it was a 4 - 4 tie, but it is a scrimmage and means nothing. Tuesday will be the test.
I watched Hill at the X and felt they were rather boring, against tonka.
We will see.

AHA should be the favorite but Lechner's guys aren't completely dead yet...they will make it a close game AHA 5- Hill 4.

Maybe sophomore Kevin Schulze. He was a White Bear A player all the way through youth hockey and was always one of the best players on the ice, regardless of who was the competition. He's a fast, nimble skater with good hands. He's also smart, both on and off the ice. I was amazed he wasn't skating varsity. Maybe now he'll get his shot.

It will be an up hill battle but I like Hill in this one. I don't see them as quitters.

It is so unfortunate for HM to lose such good players from their talented team. I commend their coach for taking the stance he did.
I do believe that this situation will make HM stronger for next year and possible the next two years. HM has very good younger talent that will now have to step their indivdual game up this year. This situation will expedite their growth, as they now get more ice time and are relied upon to make a difference. This club will still be a good team this year, but next year, we should see the improvement in this years active varsity freshman/sophmores/juniors from the experience gained...
That said, looking at this game, with the kids playing tonight, I would have to say Holy Angels by a score of 5-1.

you have a better chance of seeing God tonight than seeing HM beat HA.

Scrimmages don't always mean much. Last year, H-M destroyed AHA and then lost to them in a regular season game.
