I thought Andover was doing fairly well this year.

I suppose they are doing "fairly" well, to the point where they'll get a 4 or 5 seed in 7AA. This puts them roughly on the level of Flake or Rapids, both of which East have played this week. So if we use those games as models...

Well, East has lost to a worse team this year. But if they play anywhere close to their capabilities, this one won't be close.

How many penalties did East have to kill off?

Sometimes the wins you take for granted are the toughest.
A win is all that matters.

Yikes, they let Andover tie it halfway through the 3rd. Tardy thankfully took over at that point and picked the team up. He's really turned it on of late.

Looks like they took way too many penalties in this one. I'm sure Andover deserves some credit for hanging in there, too. Looking at things, they've got a big game against Elk River coming up this week and could wind up with a very high seed in 7AA if they win that.

Andover was 0-7 on the power play, East was 1-1. Read into that what you will.

Here's what I can't figure out on Pointstreak. They show Brent Olson of East going off at 8:00 in the 3rd, Andover scoring at 9:30. There wasn't another penalty called between those events, so how is this not a power play goal for Andover? Someone screwed up.

One more thing; it shows Arbour scoring a power play goal for East at 0:59 of the first period but the first penalty wasn't called until the 4:13 mark. Unless it just looked like East was on the power play with Tardy's line out there. Image

Was at the game East played well. They were ahead 4-0 in the third (the scoresheet is incorrect) Andover capitalized on a couple of late chance they had. Score does not tell the story as East dominated 5-5 Andover had almost no scoring chances. Penalties were a factor, referees were not very consistent in what they called or when they called things.

Refs? What refs...

East got homered at Andover. Poor officiating - penalties were what 1 Andover, 8 East? Brutal non-calls.
