Gjerde-out one more game(hastings)
Birkinbine-seperated shoulder, could be out a while
Hoffman-back and hip problems, could be out a while
Wolter-Knee problems, out for AT LEAST Hastings.
How will these injuries effect the rest of their games?
It sure did against Stillwater, they had a tough time

Perhaps instead of going after Sager, people should be going after the trainers. They always seem to have a lot of people on the shelf.

Rumer has it WBL's practices are a joke must be why everyone so easily gets hurt... they are not properly conditioned or else...this is the set up for the big excuss as to why they again can't finish on top even when it is gift wrapped and handed to them.

I can't wait for the game with Hastings@WBL on Saturday. Hastings has played pretty well lately, and with these Bears question marks..who knows? The Raiders can't be too happy with what the Bears did to them down in H-Town earlier this season, either. I'd love to see the upset.

Still not going to happen, sorry.

Last night @ Stillwater. Unfortunately, I believe he separated his shoulder...
@East - Wow, you pick up on things quickly.

Gjerde will be back for the February 12th game @ Roseville. Hoffman, Birkinbine and Wolter are all unknown.

talked to wolter, hes sitting out hastings but will be back for roseville. Hoffman on the other hand seems like its pretty serious and who knows about birkinbine.

Hope Hoffman is alright. He was bent over and looked like he was in a lot of pain. The only good part was he was walking with help. Hate to see a kid hurt this late in the season.
He went into the boards pretty hard at the end of the game.

Should it have been a penalty? He stood up a guy who was coming through the neutral zone with the puck near the boards. He never played the puck when another Stillwater player comes across the ice and checks him into the boards. I don't think he saw it coming.
Can you check a player who never has possesion of the puck? I don't recall if the puck was even in the vacinity at the time of the hit.
Just curious for all you officials out there. Is this interference?

Not saying this to belittle the injured player but the late hits were heavily dished out by WBL on Stillwater players that did not have the puck. The Refs penalized 1 WBL player for such a hit, the Stillwater player took a shot was knocked off balance after and fell to the ice the puck was deflected into the corner then as he was on the ice trying to get up #7 drilled him. The refs missed a lot last night and sadly this is the end result... players getting hurt. I only saw the check I could not see where the puck was as he was by the penalty boxes. Wbs #18 even hit a kid well after the whistle and the refs did nothing. Both teams were giving it out pretty good, playing hard it was the refs job to police these games to prevent things like this.
Like I stated I hope for a speedy recovery so he can finish his high school hockey career on a higher note.
The hit on Birkebine was a clean hit he was sideways on the boards. Didn't see what happened to Wolters I do recall him "jumping" over a defensemen at the blueline he might have landed funny but I thought he was out there one of the last shifts of the game.

Hey Youngy??? I thought in period 1, Stillwater forechecked so well, causing the two turnovers for Housley's goals (ok... Stillwater does have 1 sniper, I stand corrected). Why have they had trouble scoring this year? I would think that they could pressure just about every team in the SEC to get turnovers and chance like they did this game..

If I tell you I will have to dispose of you......................for the same reason WBL has struggled this year. Line changes, kids get worn down, some want to score so they don't pass(such as the 2-0 in the second)
They do have some fire power, that was the most fired up I have seen them since the start of the year. Maybe they are coming alive at the right time????????????????????

Youngy?? I was also disappointed in the size of the Stillwater crowd. I would have expected it to be more crowded for such a big game. There may have been more people at Culver's accross the street than at the game.

From what I have heard Birkinbine has a fairly severe separated shoulder. He'll will be out against Hastings, most likely out against Roseville, and is questionable for Cretin. However, he should be ready to go for Sections.

It was only White Bear. We save the big crowds for the real tough games. Actually it has been like that during the weekday games bigger crowds on Saturday games.
Goldfish, Where was the "Best High School fan section I was hearing about? All I saw a few kids that can't skate wearing hunting jackets at first I thought we were playing GR and hunting season was back on. This Recession must really be hurting the WBL people if they are shopping the Fleet Farm hunting section for winter cloths for the kids. Thats too bad, oh well at least those parents won't have to worry about shelling out any ticket money for those kids come tourney time.

Oh, I'm sure you do save the big crowds for the TOUGH games. I bet you had a huge section when FLAKE shut you out!

And maybe even when you barely pulled off the win over hastings!
It's called school spirit - say what you want, but even though we were slightly smaller than you on Thursday night, we were still 10x more enthusiastic than your section [filled with girls].
