How good is he? I have been hearing good things, but have not seen him play since the State Tourney in 2007. He was small then, but only a sophmore. Is he a D-1 prospect?

Dont jump to conclusion so quick Sams name has been popping up all over the bored lately.I would also like to know what people really see in this kids future or if they see him having a future in hockey personally everytime i have watched him i have seen a kid that can move the puck and sets up his team to score.But he needs to grow still not very big.Anybody else have some thoughts?

As a GR guy, have seen Sam play for many years. He's very good and very skilled. My opinion of him is NAHL next year or 2 and top D3 or low level D1 school after that. Just an opinion.

Sam Rendle used to live in Hibbing when he was in like Kindergarten or 1st grade or somewhere around there. But that's beside the point. He's a very talented player. I think he could be a low level D-1 player. Fast, and a good quick shot. Kid has got some good skills.

He is D1 material but not for a couple of years. He would look good in a maroon and Gold uni though!!

I've only seen him play a couple times, but from what I've seen he has the skills to play D1, the only thing lacking may be his size. He see's the ice well, is a solid passer, and plays solid defense. He'll end up D1 in a year or 2. I've heard that Bemidji State is looking at him, and I think he'd be a great guy to get for a team like the Beavers.

When I think of Rendle, I think of a poor man's Aaron Ness. Smart and smooth. Rendle doesn't have Ness's wheels, but few do. Size is against him, but he sees the ice so well and always seems to make the right play. I think there's quite a few D1 schools that would be glad to have him.

I would say the biggest give-away is his SN, which obviously points to the fact he is from Duluth.
