Anyone else thinking they can do some real damage and win state?

They have some serious scoring threats in Tony Villneauve and Matt Wood
two guys who should be on varsity if not for some troubles. Chad Carson may have also had a shot at making varsity if he bothered trying out.

Defensively they have some size and skill. Alex Jansen is a terrific defense man when he has the confidence. Rathburn and Duncanson can throw there bodies around and be forces.

Some of these players have JV or Varsity experience. (Villneauve, Wood, Rathburn, Heins, Kovacs)

The only foreseeable problem for this team is goal tending. Bacerra isn't anything special back there. At the JGB level he has plenty of games where hes given up 5 or 6 goals with only 9-10 shots on him. I am not saying this is every game but he is very inconsistant.

your thoughts?

i think that they are definetly a solid team. they have are physical and have a good forcheck. i would agree that their goaltending is a weak point, along with their defense. When we played them, i didn't notice any standouts. the first thing i noticed was there physical forcheck and weak d-zone/goalie

This is a scary team that has the talent to win it all.

I guarantee you, none of the other top 3 JGA teams in the state (Edina, EP or Tonka) want to play this team in regions or state.

They can score, their defense is bad (their best d-man is out for the year), and their goaltending is also bad most of the time, pretty much sums it up. Oh and they take a whole lot of bad penalties.

True, when they played us they were constantly in the box. I disagree when you say the defense is bad its alright, not great but not bad also. And yes there goaltending is the worst out of the top 10 teams most likely. But this team can score enough to make up for that.
