Best Rivalries

When I saw the Warroad-Roseau score (2-1) tonight, I started wondering about what are the best girls hockey rivalries in the State. Girls hockey doesn't have the 60+ year tradition like the boys, but in its relatively short history some key rivalries have already developed. Here you have two small towns from the same part of the State, both with great hockey traditions, that seem to battle it out each and every game. It probably doesn't get much more intense than these two, but I know there are others where the schools match up pretty well and just don't seem to like each other very much.
So (other than Section 1A

) here's my Top 3:
1. Warroad vs. Roseau
2. Blake vs. Breck
3. Stillwater vs. Roseville
Any others?

Those 3 might be the best, but here are some others:
Moundsview vs. Irondale--same school district, all the kids know each other and may have attended grade school together, they play a non-conference game every year. Last year MV eliminated Irondale in Sections. Friday night they meet at the Coliseum for a trip to state.
Armstrong vs. Cooper--They co-op at the youth level but reports are the parents don't play nice together. Same school district, the kids grow up as rivals in all other sports (as did many of their parents).
Hill Murray vs. NSP and WBL--like on the boys' side, many of the HM girls come from NSP and WBL and play varsity against their former teammates and friends.
SSP vs. Simley--see Armstrong vs. Cooper.
Some of these teams might not be strong in the win-loss column, but any time kids grow up playing together or against each other there's extra intensity when they meet at the varsity level, especially in sections when a trip to the state tournament is on the line. I know there are lots of more examples like these.

Warroad and Roseau is a classic rivalry. I'm not sure about girls hockey but in boys hockey Edina and Minnetonka is definitely a thriller. I might add Breck/Blake, isn't there two of those this weekend or something (boys and girls)?

Not sure about Edina and Minnetonka for girls hockey, but they do happen to play each other tonight in what promises to be a real thriller, so maybe this will be the start of a big rivalry for the future. Both programs are deep and look to be strong for years to come, so if they stay in the same section I would imagine they will be seeing more of each other, trying to get to State.
Breck and Blake are big rivals in all sports, and this certainly applies to girls hockey where both teams have been very strong and competitive with one another for several years now.

Like Armstrong/Cooper, Simley/SSP, I suppose you have to throw in some of the boys-like rivalries... Kennedy/Jefferson comes to mind, even though, as said above, some of these may not be the most competitive games/teams and the series record may stand heavy in favor of one team vs. the other... I think same-district rivals like Park/Woodbury? and Tartan/North? come to mind as well... And since some of these teams co-op either at youth or did even at HS at one time that makes it interesting too (again like Armstrong/Cooper I guess)... When St. Paul had two girls teams that was a good rivalry between the West "Stars" that no longer exist and the East "Blades."

Edina and EP has always been the big rivalry at the youth level. Because they are in a different conference in HS, the rivalry isn't quite as intense as it would be if they were in the same conference. That might change after the end of the Classic Lake Conference next year if Edina and EP are put into the same conference. Edina and Minnetonka is a developing rivalry.
