Does anyone have the time slots Saturday for the 2AA/6AA semifinals at BIG/Braemar? I know it is TBD as to who plays where, but I’m looking for the times slotted for the games (I would think they have them blocked off on the arena schedules).

I tried to find a master schedule at the arena websites, but no luck.

Thanks.

On the right hand side of the screen you will find the sections. Click on the B to pull up the brackets.

^He's asking for the times of the games though and it doesn't include them there.

Any idea what section is at what time? Is 2AA the early or later game? Or do they wait until after Thursday's games to slot the teams?

last year
the 6AA games were first at both arenas

and obviously they will have jeffersons game at braemar and edinas game at big

so they try to do the opposite seeds at different arenas (example if 1vs.4 of 2aa is at braemar than 2vs.3 of 6aa willl be there) and vice versa for big

so this means that unless a huge upset, at Braemar it will be Minnetonka vs. Wayzata (12:00) and Jefferson vs. Burnsville/Chaska (4:00)

and at BIG

Eden Prairie vs. BSM/Hopkins (3:30) and Edina vs. Holy Angels (8:00)

Here's a hypothetical question, with the brackets this year it's not possible, but if Edina and Jefferson were to meet in the section semifinal where would they play?

The home arena of the higher seeded team.

I remember last year's finals at mariucci had 6AA first then 2AA - and this year according to the MSHSL site, they reversed them so 2AA plays first and then 6AA.

Do you think they'll reverse the semifinals this year too?

The home arena of the higher seeded team.
this happened in 2005 and it was played at BIG because jefferson was a 1 seed and edina the 4 seed

i would assume that they would switch the semis then too

and as for the comment about EP playing at braemar at 4, do you know this for a fact?

Is everyone here wrong, or is hockey hub wrong?

http://mbhsh.stats.pointstreak.com/divi ... sonid=3721

The bracket says EP will play BSM/Hopkins at 3

Wayzata and Tonka will face off at 7. Both games at Braemar.

But it also says both 2AA semifinals are at Braemar as well.

At 4 and 7. What is this madness? (I know they have three rinks)

i know for a fact the ep vs, bsm/hopkins game is 4 oclock at braemar and so is the jefferson game making it at 12:00

that would probly make the games at BIG Edina vs. AHA at 3:30 and wayzata vs. tonka at 8

I would say you are all wrong.
Ep has not won their Quarter final yet....
But the semis should be:
Section 6AA at Braemar at Noon
Section 2AA at Braemar at 4:00
Section 6Aa at BIG at 3:30
Edina vs AHA at BIG at 7:30

Just like last year.

Edina doesn't play at home and neither does Jefferson. Then they stagger the games to get the most bang for the buck.

So the anticipated games are Edina vs Jefferson and EP vs Minnetonka at Mariucci.

If this schedule is right - by default it leaves Section 2AA (Jefferson) at 12 at Braemar and Section 2AA (Edina) at 3:30 at BIG.

Now that all the pairings are set. Can someone tell me if what I'm writing is the ACTUAL times and places for all four games? That would be much appreciated. There seemed to be much confusion throughout this thread, and I hope someone can help me out.

Eden Prairie vs BSM 4 Braemer
Minnetonka vs Wayzata 7:00 BIG
Jefferson vs Burnsville 12 Braemer
AHA vs Edina 3:30 BIG

Why is there so much time in between each game? We are talking 3.5-4 hours between the start of the first game and the start of the second. Does this mean they will clear everyone out of the building and make them pay again for the second game?

It seems like the game times should be noon and 2, or noon and 230. Not noon and 4.

Yes for section games, semi-finals, they clear the arena and you have to buy a ticket for the next game if you want to watch.

Per the MSHSL website:
Section 2AA
Jefferson vs Burnsville/Chaska winner 12:00 at Braemar
Edina vs AHA 3:30 at BIG

Section 6AA does not have the tines, yet...
