Has anyone had a composite stick repaired? If so, were you satisfied? Where did you have it done and how much did it cost? I found links for a couple of places that do this, but I dont know if it's worth it, or if I could get a better price, or find some place closer (near White Bear) than Chaska or Duluth.

I've gotten it done before. I wasn't quite satisfied with it. It will end up making your stick shorter since they have to cut out the broken part. And it also makes it a bit heavier. I got mine done for $40 at Shoot N Save in Rochester.

They also do it at the St. Croix Rec center in Stillwater, they will do it while you wait. It was about $40, the stick is shorter when finished, and the flex will change. Most I have spoken with say it becomes significantly more "whippy" when repaired.

I've had multiple sticks repaired with this system. I've been very satisfied with the results. For $40-50 I get a stick that is great for what I need (I don't play everyday), and for my kids it makes a perfect back up stick or shooting stick. I would recommend that everybody try it once... it's worth the money just to find out if it's for you or not. I would say anybody that is bantams or below would never know the difference if you blindfolded them.
