EP having a such a young group and Jefferson having the same with all but the goalie, from what I know of them are first year A players. You cannot discount coaching when it comes to equally talented teams. EP's staff is coming off 3 consecutive Bantam A State teams. While Jefferson has a new Bantam A coach and a new group of kids.

Hats off to both teams and coaches, good luck to them as they go forward. Coaching is what makes the difference down the stretch in playoff hockey.

MoveYourFeet, most of what you said is true, but to set the record straight, this year's coaches of Eden Prairie coached the Jefferson PeeWee A team last year.

I believe a couple of first years on the Jagles will be 10th graders next year and will choose to move up.

Eddie V is correct. I believe they are expecting another 3-5 from the East side next year.

Bianci was the Jefferson PeeWee A coach
The rest pushed cones and tried to look good in baby Blue
Jefferson will take all the kids they can, Janko and Hunt helped them so will the rest of the Eagles

actually i don't think many kennedy kids will be on the jags bantam a roster next year. Janco and Hunt are going to JV next year and not playing bantam. I don't think any kids from Kennedy are coming over because d6 wont let them.

The kids I geuss will not be Kennedy kids because they have open enrolled into Jefferson, Kennedy wont lose them if they never had them as 9th graders. They will not need waivers.
Janco and Hunt will only go up if Lindquist gives them some varsity time.

That's true, Janco and Hunt are both first years, along with a goalie, #30.

Fantasy,
I think these coaches are aware that they would not be coverboys regardless of the color they were wearing. I will say I thought they did a great job in their first year at EP. they took a team that had some question marks and, with steady pressure made them into a team that finished 9-5-3 in D6, going 1-0-1 vs AV and splitting with the Jags and Edina, this after a 5-5-2 start in D6 play. The last 5 games in D6 were 4 wins and a tie (OTL) vs Edina, Chaska, AppleValley, Eastview and Burnsville. I would say a strong finish. The kids enjoyed playing for these guys and by those 2 measures, the coaching staff had a very successful first year after a "tough act to follow". The reality is, they will be stronger again next year and these guys will do well at EP. Good luck to them going forward.

I have played AAA with both janco and hunt and they are very average players so them playing for jefferson they dont stand a chance at varsity

If you play for Shakopee then you made the varsity team. Talk about brutal hockey.

Sabre, I hope you enjoy Crow Pie because you might have to eat it! They are both very nice players who are very determined to succeed. Enjoy looking up to them in the standings the rest of your career
