I don't know how much of an upset this would be. AV is a different team right now...the line up they have right now would have taken 3rd in the Lake. Should be a great game.wbmd wrote:Woodbury had best take notice of the upsets taking place today (and near upset in 7AA) or else their season will be over tonight.
Does Woodbury have the advantage in possesion?wbmd wrote:Gretz is coming up big in goal for Apple Valley.
Seems about even. Shots are 20-18 for Woodbury.InYourFace09 wrote:Does Woodbury have the advantage in possesion?wbmd wrote:Gretz is coming up big in goal for Apple Valley.
don't forget Wdby's goalie who stopped 3-4 borderline breakaways in the final 8 minutes. Great game.wbmd wrote:final
Apple Valley 2 Woodbury 0.
Gretz stonewalls the Royals. Shots were 31 each.
As well as stopping shorthanded attempts.Hoops wrote:don't forget Wdby's goalie who stopped 3-4 borderline breakaways in the final 8 minutes. Great game.wbmd wrote:final

Also...two waved off goals for Woodbury. The first was questionable but the second was clearly over the line before an AV skater pushed the net off. The whole complextion of the game would have changed. The Royals were robbed.....wbmd wrote:As well as stopping shorthanded attempts.Hoops wrote:don't forget Wdby's goalie who stopped 3-4 borderline breakaways in the final 8 minutes. The first was kicked in out of mid air by a royal, no arguement by any players of coaches shows that it was clearly the right call. The second I couldn't tell when the net came off (I never even saw it go in, I thought Gretz had it in his glove.) so I will only say that the net coming off was something that was happening on both ends all night. The nets were coming off on both ends easily by the goalies having to make quick slides across the goal. It was not a deliberate shove off to get a whistle.slapstkhound wrote:Also...two waved off goals for Woodbury. The royals were not robbed and the second wasn't clearly over anything. You obviously weren't there. After the Frosh Michaelson got the only goal of the game w/ 8 minutes left AV took 2 penalties and Woodbury pulled their goalie w/ 1.30 left so in effect AV was short handed 70% of the final 8 minutes. This is when the Woodbury flurry took place..it's also when AV got their share of breakaways..shorthanded. Their was no robbery...great game and I think AV was the better team on this night.slapstkhound wrote:Also...two waved off goals for Woodbury. Picture in the Woodbury Bulletin shows the goal post came off an instant prior to the puck crossing the line. The goal post is off by 2 inches when the puck was crossing the goal line. Very, very close but a good call by the official. When there are 61 shots put up and only one goal scored, a great game for both teamsHoops wrote:The royals were not robbed and the second wasn't clearly over anything. You obviously weren't there. Good picture - and like you said, it was a good call by the official.Sykes wrote:Picture in the Woodbury Bulletin shows the goal post came off an instant prior to the puck crossing the line. Is there a link to the picture anywhere on online? I couldn't find one but thought you might be able to come up with it. Thanks.wbmd wrote:Good picture - and like you said, it was a good call by the official.Sykes wrote:Picture in the Woodbury Bulletin shows the goal post came off an instant prior to the puck crossing the line.
