Anyone know how many years Kangas was a starter at century?

Cameron is a solid goaltender for a sophmore. I believe he will play a part in getting Century to the State tournament but i really dont think he is the next Kangas.

Cam is a much better goalie than his old man is writer that is for sure!
Yeah dat der goalie for den Century Panthers is a heckava good goalie dontcha know? It seem to me like he probably started up nort where dem real players start. You know where dey still play em games outdoors and stuff. My guess is that good 'ole Herb Brooks would like this kid so much dat he woulda taken for dat Miracle team.
What kind of name is Sellnow anyway? Not a name one hear much on the de range like you might hear Sachetti or Michaeletti.

I hope you like my tribute to old-time Minnesotans/hockey guys. The guys with their noses on the glass that did play outdoors and played on metal blades because Papa Sellnow does not seem to know his own culture.

Cam is a great goalie but he is no Kangas - who was a 4 year starter.

I think it's a little to early to start drawing comparison's to Kangas. Alex is a great talent and so is Mr. Sellnow. I know that Alex skated with the panthers over winter break, he told me that Sellnow had good fundamentals. I've seen Century play during the holiday tournament in Rochester and also when they played Duluth east. Sellnow had a great game against Duluth East and was obviously a determining factor in that game. My one criticism of him is that he does give up pretty big rebounds in the slot. If his D are able to clear guys out of the slot Century has a good chance being competitive in any game. He has the makings to become a great goalie but please no comparisons to Kangas, yet. I will clarify this right now, I am not Alex Kangas, just a close friend and old teammate.

It will be interesting to see what happens next year with the Bantam A goalie coming to Century.

Sellnow needs to work on his recovery save motions, once he drops he is very slow and will need to either control his rebounds better or get much quicker leg movement if he's going to be considered a great goalie.

Yes, it will be interesting to see. But I think the young guy will end up playing and he will have a successful season.

although solid for only a soph to even compare him to kangas is a complete joke and anyone who would do so needs help.. he plays the puck very well from what i have seen, but he goes down way to much especially on the bad angles and when the puck is in the corner, he will continue to improve however and is good enough to get century back to the promise land, but he will never amount to anything more than an above average highschool netminder

by the way. kangas was only a STARTER for 3 years. he was century's back-up during his freshman season and only started 2 games at the varsity level.

as for sellnow, we will just have to wait and see.
