21 goals between these two teams in their two meetings this year. 8-5 at St Thomas and 4-4 in Stillwater. As a St Thomas fan I can tell you this is the one section opponent St Thomas should most prefer not play.

After watching the Mahtomedi, SSP game, i believe that Maht was the better team and have the best shot at STA. With the last game being tied, I gotta go with Mahtomedi winning this one by 1.

STA is a younger team but they know how to win the big games and show to be too much in the end.

Cadets 4-1 Zephyrs

After watching Mahtomedi play their best game against the Cadets and tie without the use of St Thomas's first line I have to go with the Cadets in this one. Mahtomedi doesn't have the depth to get there and sadly enough I believe the third line for St Thomas will take it to Mahtomedi's third line and could be a difference maker. Unless Mahtomedi's goaltender plays out of his mind the Zephyrs don't have much of a shot. Sad to see another private school get to the X :(

STA- 5
Mahtomedi- 1

MAHT

mahtomedi should be the winner but I predict a close game. maybe 2-1 but Ben Marshall #14 should make a big difference in this game.

Mahtomedi goalie needs to be on his A game or it is over for the Zephs.

Hint: stay a little closer to your net and do not throw break-out passes to the Cadet forwards.

No, not exactly 600, but somewhere between 500 and 600. Freshman classes are generally around 150 and graduation classes recently have been around 120 I believe. 135x4=540. Pretty close. But if you really think that's why people dislike the school, you're quite naive.

"After watching Mahtomedi play their best game against the Cadets and tie without the use of St Thomas's first line"
bender0905, where was STA's first line?

The number is 524 as of today, just in case anyone wants to really know. That is grades 9-12

And doubling 524 gives you 1048...pretty sure that's the number the MSHSL uses.

I still think it's silly to use the total enrollment instead of the number of guys or number of girls. Oh well

Looking forward to the game tonight. Two young teams. With Ben Marhsall only being a sophomore it's disappointing these two are in the same section.

Somebody on here said they have been counting the middle school also ever since Jordan Schroeder and Anders Lee played on varsity in 8th grade.
