did you really expect that rope to hold back an entire student body from celebrating the section championship and a state tourney trip?

The glass broke because the players jumped up on it and the fans were all pushing up against it

there were a couple fans leaning on the glass. One of the fans was trying to pull up a player, then it broke. The fan went over and i think he ate some ice haha ](*,)

Regardless of the comments in this thread, the rec center is a great atomsphere to watch high school hockey.

It's got fair atmosphere compared to the Hockey Palaces of Minnesota. Other than that the place is a total waste of developable space. They should have built another sheet and half at the Graham Complex when they added the forth rink there. The REC Center doesn't have enough parking for one event never mind two or three at once.

On the bright side it is a sheet of ice and some places don't have that! I find it interesting that Rochester has 6 sheets of ice with only one being a complete venue.

well with over 2000 people packed in one arena its bound to get heated... you mayo people need to quit making dumb topics  unless you know of a better arena that south-eastern minnesota could play at i think the rec has a great atmosphere

The Atmosphere was great

All the games last Saturday and this Thursday and Friday were great.

I never noticed the ice being a factor at all.

Good job by the players coaches officials and administrators it was a great tourney.

I love that semifinal Saturday with the 4 games...

Full houses on finals night it was great and the Bands were awesome.

just curious.. my grammar is not the best but yours is terrible... off topic but when you write sucks i can see where the "s" is needed, but completely not needed in your classic "sux" grammar fyi 8)

Graham is better than the Rec. They should play the games at the new Graham arena. The only reason they play it at the Rec is that it's bigger, but Graham is a lot nicer.
