WHY does the weather get bad around EVERY State Tourney??

Hi Everyone,
I am using this as a way of communicating with the people down south towards the cities. I am sure you all have heard of the WONDERFUL weather that we are suppose to get on Tuesday and Wednesday. So, can we have this thread going as a way to update weather and such?? I know I could look at weather.com but, it is nice to hear actual people say what the weather is like! I plan on heading down to the cities and this could help me gauge when I would leave!!
I may be the only one who cares but right now central Minnesota is under a Blizzard Watch for all day Tuesday until Wednesday morning. Snow could range from 4-10" and winds up to 30 mph. Sounds like a beautiful day!

In Moorhead right now its about 18 degrees with snow starting monday night with a blizzard watch, ending wednesday morning. Thats when our boys leave. Hopefully it all goes up north!!

Here is the forecast for Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday for Rochester Area
Tuesday: Showers early becoming a steady light rain later in the day.
Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds ESE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Wednesday: Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 30s and lows in the upper single digits.
Thursday: Partly cloudy and windy. Highs in the low teens and lows -2 to -6F.

Winds E at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precip 70%.
Wednesday: Wintry mix of precipitation. Highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid single digits.
Thursday: Windy with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low teens and lows -3 to -7F.

Forecast for Bemidji
Same as always for March.
60 to 65 degrees during the day.
sunny.
45 degrees in the evening with a light rain from midnight to 3 AM.
Never varies...

Winter Storm Watch for the Duluth area starting Tuesday afternoon and running through Wednesday afternoon. They aren't predicting snowfall totals (considering their track record, a good thing
) because they aren't certain what track the storm will take.
Has their ever been a postponing of a State tournament game? I don't recall it happening.

Yesterday, I was ambling around DC in shorts and a t-shirt. It was over 70 degrees.
Now I am back in Duluth, just in time for a winter storm watch. Though I doubt it will be as bad as the whiteout I came home to in December.
Oh Minnesota. It's good to be back, in an odd sort of way.

The forecast is bad enough in northern Minnesota that the Warroad hockey team is going down after school on Monday instead of Tuesday morning like originally planned

UPDATE Here in Moorhead right now under a winter weather advisory!! Till Tuesday morning, then changing to a blizzard watch, herd this morning suppose to get 15 inches of fresh snow and bitter cold temperatures!!! Windchill reaching -30 to -35 below!! Today suppose to receive 3-5 inches tomorrow 5-8 and Wednesday 8-10 inches!! Seems like it could be more then 15? (what the news said) Hopefully be able to get out of here Wednesday for state!!

Updated forecast is predicting 14+ inches for Duluth by the time it's over on Wednesday morning.
Winter Storm Warning also in effect for the Twin Cities but will end at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. This should give plows enough time to get things cleaned up enough for people to get to the X. I doubt we'll see any postponements, just some inconvenience for those coming into the Cities from outside areas on Wednesday morning.
