was anyone else impressed with the way he played today
cause he was a force out there and really proved his case for best junior defenceman in the state today
the goal was insane and could be an espn top play if the tape was sent in
2 huge hits and even taking out ben marshall on a huge hit(not ment to be mean just proving a fact)

He also gave Mahtomedi their first goal. He will need to control the puck better and make better decisions in the WCHA in order to be successful.

yeah he had negatives but yet again who doesnt
even hanowski had errors tonight and he scored 5 goals but there other topics for him and rightfully so
schmidt has great vision and great hands and tremendous drive to be the best

i dont know about this kid.... seen him play a few times and usually seems very lazy.... his hands arent that amazing either... he gave up the first goal because of poor puck control

One of the top Junior Defensemen in the state. To go along with his great D he can provide offense... This kid is the real deal!

How about the Cannon he has for a shot? I will enjoy watching a big physical defensemen at the U again. He has a mean streak in him also.

He is a strong presence on the ice. I'm impressed with him. The only negative is he's not staying home to play for the Huskies.

I would watch today in the early games, I am sure they will have highlights of the games that went down yesterday. And if not they would on Friday during the semi's.

that hit on ben marshall was as punishing as you can make a clean hit...i couldnt believe the kid got up! hope he is alright for the future, sounds like he is a great player too.

someone should put his check he made on ben marshall on youtube as well...pretty sure that will go down as the biggest check of the tourny..shows his raw strength and what happens if you think you can carry the puck in deep againsts cathedral...

No question he is big and strong and a pretty darn great player. I think he is still somewhat unpolished though. He is going to be a very solid kid at the next level if he continues to improve. His puck control is his only weakness but it wasnt a huge deal in the first game.

The best thing this year is his health, I believe he played the full year? Good luck at the Force! You deserve it and earned it.

Yeah, he did that as a freshman in high school I believe and has learned from that. None of the above are him. Quit trying to stir the pot. He's learned and move on, you should too.

yeah, i am sure nate has his laptop int he hotel lobby right now and is posting on here...retarded...he has bigger fish to fry...but i am curious how he got busted talking about himself on here, that sounds funny....

Well if he is on here right now, I say hell of a goal man, and keep it up. You know people from LF want a LF Vs SCC rematch, which would make a hell of a final, keep up the great work you and your team is doing, and make it to the finals. YOU ARE AN THAT GOAL YOU HAD, YOU ARE A SUPER FREAK
