ANOTHER SEASON OVER

Okay boys, another year is basically gone. Those high schoolers and youth players that are lucky enough to have outlasted their opponents are still playing and the rest of the state is watching and enjoying those special players. As the year ends, despite all the B S we spew to each other on here, I think we all respect each other and the game. I hope you all enjoy your spring and especially the summer if it ever arrives. If you see Al Gore, tell him to kiss my ass please, it's negative 14 with the wind chill right now. In reflecting on this year remember the positives that so often are overshadowed by the negatives.

See you on the links or at the rinks! Jancze

"Season over"??? You must mean the WINTER season....

For some kids, the hockey season they have been looking forward to all winter is just beginining....Minnesota Meltdown is only about 6 weeks away!

Maybe, but for some it's their only chance to play on a team with with their best friends and/or play on a more competitive team.

Agree

Had a couple boys play. Mixed results year to year. One son lead team in scoring.

Never any doubt about which season was the real one. Winter.

Well, I often picked on my son's coach this winter. When he would get all worked up after a game about a poorly played game, I would respond: "Coach, why all the excitement? It's only winter hockey. Nobody really cares."

 \:D/

And I suppose the earth is flat and evolutionary science originates from a comic book. Even if it is - 14 in March, the polar ice caps are still melting dude. Just wait, in a couple of decades we will not be able to keep the indoor rinks frozen. Hockey will be but a memory. And don't forget, the sun is going to explode in a million years or so. Regardless, Jancze, your main point is essentially correct: what a great season!

Bafta.....let me guess, you probably don't want kids to keep score either, thats usually what guys with your point of view are like. You are so much smarter than everyone else. Just give everyone a trophy. Hmmmmmm

PS. Give it a couple months you'll be trying to scrape that O sticker off your Passat.

But Jancze, at my kids' school - after showing "An Inconvenient Truth" the teachers are now telling my kids that global warming causes wild variations in climate, resulting in our long winters the last two seasons. This is their answer to the kids that dare to ask why we have had such long and cold winters the last two years.

I keep telling them to ask why Mars' polar ice caps are melting too but they don't want to rock the boat. I just think if we have to buy 'carbon credits' and pay 'carbon taxes' that the Martians should too, its only fair. Like their parents, my kids both keep quiet and are quietly amused by 'the sky is falling' crowd.

I am thankful that we have had the best two winters for outdoor ice in over a decade. My kids have enjoyed this year indoors and outdoors. See everyone next year --- or even this spring at the meltdown.

Au contraire pierre, you couldn't be more wrong; let's drop the gloves. Eh. It's about the kids right, not youz guys' political beliefs; you all obviously are the geniuses.

This may be true for some players on the weaker associations.....
