Looks like it had to be a good game. Will all the players stay and play for their high schools or do some go to HM and HA and other private coops.

There is no trying out for varsity at Hill Murray unless they are currently first year bantams or 8th graders. Or, if they currently attend HM as a ninth grader but played Bantam A this season at WBL they'll be ready to roll. Any current ninth grader that plans to switch schools before they start 10th grade will have to play their sophomore season on JV.
Are the 4 WBL Bantam A players currently at HM?
Are they first year bantam As in the 8th grade?
The transfer rule has made the pipeline to these schools transparent. If the player isn't at their particular school in 9th grade they will play JV as a 10th grader.
The only alternative is a physical change in address. Otherwise these players would have to already be at HM as 9th graders.
Are there different transfer rules for a public school to private school player where the schools don't have physical boundaries.

I believe the rules are the same when transferring from a public to a private. If you transfer, you can't play varsity the following season. That being said, unless the player is an elite player, transferring in your freshmen year and playing JV for your sophmore season isn't always a bad thing.

Although there's the scary mystery of who might come in the following year so the sophomore coming in during the fall of 2009, playing JV for a season, never gets a chance at varsity. Big decision when you're paying 10-15-20k per year.

If a parent has that little bit of doubt in their mind, then their son/daughter probably isn't as "elite" as they might think they are and might want to re-consider as to whether or not sending their child to a private high school JUST for hockey is the right decision for them.
If their kid is TRULY elite, then their spot on Varsity should be secure when they hit their junior season.
Either that, or don't wait so long to make the decision and get that kid enrolled in the private school for their freshmen year.

I agree completely. It was my first time in the Hippodrome and it felt like being in a church. Thanks to everyone up in Eveleth for a great weekend.

Nice to see that a group of kids and parents did not follow the grass is greener approach and stayed together. I have had the chance to see this team play and they were very immpressive. Looks like section 1 AA is going to make some noise in the future and that is great news. Hats off to Lakeville South.
