Congrats to Andy, the program should benifit from a young coach that grew up in the system and has experience outside of Roseau.

The bio is missing something.

Usually, when you get your education at West Point, Uncle Sam has plans for you for a few years afterward. Even David Robinson and Napoleon McCallum had to serve a few years after graduating from the Naval Academy before picking up their pro careers.

This guy appears to have gone straight into pro hockey.

What happened? I'm not implying anything or trying to start something, but I am curious.

If they produce potentially pro athletes the academies will often give them dispensations from their service that would either defer or alter their active duty requirements. This is done with the rationalization that pro athletes or other public figures etc provide positive publicity for the academy that aids in recruiting.

I believe Robinson served in the reserves while playing in the NBA and did most of his "training" in the offseason.

True, but Robinson had to serve two years full time after graduation before he was able to start his pro career.

Lundbohm names assistant coaches, you will probably recognize them.

Andy is well liked by the kids/parents and is the "local boy" all grown up...
The kids will have some good coaching under Lundbohm, Aaron, and Butsy...
Wish I had some high school eligibility again... :D

Probably because the thread is "Lundbohlm named Rams head Coach"

Why would he want to be the jv coach? Because he still has a teaching job in Roseau and he wants to be part of the program.

Dman didn't answer my question, "why did Oliver become JV coach?" but you did thanks. Although I didn't know he was a teacher.

All Dman did was make a nice post about Lundbohm*, he didn't need to quote
