I understand that there are a few AAA teams involved in this and the schedule has just been posted. There is a 4 team D1 league (former, current, and signed D1 players) and then a D3 league which the AAA teams are participating in. See

I think some others may be part of what are titled college teams too - meaning we have some AAA level HS players filling in around the college teams in some cases.
The Eagles may actually be mostly college level players at this point as I think most of that group (Eagles) would be 89, 90 or older birthyears???

I should correct my original post about this league... There has really only one HS AAA-like team in the 'Walser Blue" group. The "Eagles" group wasn't who I thought it was either AAA wise... I've also found that many of the "College" teams aren't always popultated with actual current players, recruits, or even alums from those schools. So, I wouldn't put too much credibility on the fact that when you see a "College" team play in this league that its players really are even from (or have any connection with) that school...

I think its a mix. Most of the college teams have a majority of their players from that college with some girls mixed in that are either going to play for that college next year or girls that may be interested in playing at that college in the future.
The Walser Blue team is a HS AAA team, the majority of the players are going to be sophomores or juniors in HS this upcoming season. There are a couple of seniors and graduates too.
Most of the games I have seen are pretty good. The college players are stronger physically and the games reflect that. There have been a few weaker teams but teams like UW River Falls, Gustavus, UW-Eau Claire, Bethel and some others have been strong. I guess like anything in girls hockey it depends on who shows up.

I've been to a couple of the games for this league. The High School age girls that are playing are all pretty good and can hold there own with the college teams. I know the St kates team has a High School girl that can really fly up and down the ice. The Walser high school age team plays a competitive game with the college kids, and a the St. Bens team has a a couple High School age kids playing that arn't to bad. I think to even get on one of the teams here you have to be a pretty good high school player.

Playoffs start Monday. Showcase now has the scedule up - they are basing it on the first 8 games and some of the records are off but should be fun.
