Who's it going to be? One would have to assume that Woodbury, Cretin, WBL, and Roseville will make up the top half. Any other opinions out there?

I don't know a whole lot, but I've heard that Roseville is losing a lot of seniors and they won't be very good at least for this next year.

Mounds view and hastings should be stronger then last year. they will both have more SR's this year. Forest Lake will only go as far as there first line will take them. other wise I agree CDC / Woodbury on top. WB, Roseville all in top 4.

Have to agree as well. CDH and WB and Woodbury will be contenders this next season.

Woodbury will win it if Gaede stays. If not, they tie CDH for the conference championship

If that's the case, woodbury will be nearly unstoppable. Not to mention the fact that they have a great starter in Ness and a great backup in Moore, which probably isn't something that WBL or CDH can say.

Could not agree more with you.

Woodbury - lost a lot of offense in Pittman, but how can you argue with that senior filled roster? some are overrated but coaching is tops.
CDH/Stillwater - CDH brings the athletes, Stillwater has a good group of seniors and goaltending back
WBL - lost a lot in defense, offense and goaltending. +5 to Hill from bantams
MV - good core line, Bradley was tough at the end of the season
FLake - lost Moberg, but always play tough in conference
Roseville - lost too much
Park - good group of seniors but lost 4 defensemen
Hastings - lost Gelinser and Sykes, return Nelson but he can't do it by himself
East Ridge - big unknown will be very young and small, no real home rink, no locker room will feel like nomads the first few years

How about Tartan? Didn't they have the #1 seed in the regional tourney?

Tartan is in classic suburban. Not suburban east.

CDH- Need a goaltender to step in, return 2nd line that was very good last year, look for them to be strong offensively.
Woodbury- Seem to be good year in and year out, lose Pittman but Gaede should fill his shoes easy. Look for him to lead the conference.
Stillwater - No really stand outs on this year, seem to find ways to play hard.
WBL - Tons of talent in WBL, most talent in the conference, need a goalie to step up and they will contend for winning the conference.
Hastings- Need a goalie to fill some shoes this year, Nelson returns, look for him to contend in leading the conference.
Roseville- Always seem to have very good teams, need a goalie, and a new scorer since #19 graduated.
MV - Not sure about the goalie, Bradley is good. Look for him to dominate this year and lead the conference.
FLake - Need a goalie to step up, decent defence, need some scoring.
Park - Not so sure about them, might be a little better this year.
East Ridge - Big unknown, no home rink, nobody knows.

Does anyone know for sure if Max Gaede is returning to Woodbury this year? There had been talk that Gaede and defenseman Walker Hyland might play in the USHL for their senior seasons.

How many leaders is this conference going to have?

If everybody comes back to Woodbury, I see them the front runners, with Stillwater joining the ranks of the top three.

Gaede is returning for his Senior year. A number of Woodbury kids had made USHL and NAHL teams but are going to be skating for Woodbury this year.

Then things are looking fantastic for Woodbury this year. Going into this season, I can't think of any other SEC team that is as solid as Woodbury.

Woodbury is one of those disappointing teams.

Lost 2-1 to Forest Lake today.

And Woodbury's varsity has 16 seniors and 2 juniors. And one the two juniors was injured and lost for the season. Any comments on the prospects of the Woodbury team next year!? Bolin seems to have really loaded up his team for this season without thinking much about next season.

The thing is with woodbury's program is that those were the top players. The outlook is bleak for woodbury due to the loss of depth that has come with the new high school. ER will have a great team next year.
