Is Alyssa Veil any good heard she is going to shattuck. I live in ep but have never seen or play or have heard of her. Where did she play high school hockey?

Didn't she play for Blake? IF this is the same girl, she was alright last year. I seen her play 4 or 5 times and thought she needs more upperbody strength and needs to be more aggressive. She'll get that drilled into her at Shattuck. She's still pretty young but may turn into a real good player if she apply's herself. She does need to learn to pass the puck more accuratly and make the goalies move if when she's on the break. Shattuck is a good move for her if she's dedicated.

I cannot imagine the schooling would be any better! Not knocking the move just wondering.

I was just commenting on the move in a hockey sense. She'll get more ice time at Shattuck because of the expanded schedule and she'll have more access to coaches and practice time because Shattuck's season is about 3 months longer than the High school season. I have no clue about Shattuck's costs or acedemics but the Blake school is about $25,000 per year.

this looks to be the cost at Shattuck $26,000 + if you are a day student $36,000 if you stay there + an additional $4,000 if you are in Hockey $4,000 if in soccer and maybe more costs to that I did not see.

She had pretty good scoring sophomore year at Blake - 18 G 21 A 39 TP. From what I have seen I think of her as very tough with great quickness/speed.

I have heard she is going to enroll in 10th grade thus giving her 3 more years of competition at Shattuck. This is a pretty common practice at the Eastern Prep Schools and a practice Shattuck appears to be implementing.

So she will repeat her Sophmore year?

Is it really necessary to discuss…no dissect the status of a 15 year old based purely on speculation? Come on.

Re: SSM. Many of the athletes get financial aid. If SSM wants you, they will make it possible to attend. One of our neighbors was recruited by SSM's soccer coach. At the time they were interested in establishing a powerhouse soccer program, similar to the hockey program. She would have been able to attend SSM for the same fee as her local private HS.
