fire hockey club tryouts july 19th in somerset. You don't need to be a current MN Made player to be selected, but it helps.

Actually, I just spotted "IWEARMYSUNGLASSES" in an orange boat wearing an orange bikini, drinking a orange Machine-Aide on the St.Croix already headed to Somerset. Its a sad day, first its Ed, then Farrah & Michael, now this!! How will Chaska survive??

I thought they had a 95 team as well and some people were getting ready to tryout?

Bantam Major year is a tough one to get players for. The '94 team disbanded last year when kids went to Shattuck and their local H.S. teams. Same this year as a number of the players basically move on/up.

No possibility of "Nationals", all of the travel/game restrictions due to past transgressions, and cost make this committment a tough choice for this age.

1. Anyone know if Bernie got one of the jobs?
2. Who is coaching the 1997 team?
3. Who is coaching the 1998 team?

Puck,

Like JudgeandJury, you also seem to be sensitive about topics like MM, Chaska, velocity, etc. I'm not sayin',,, just sayin'.

Are you related to J&J? Hang out with him? Or simply the same guy with a different screen name?

Play4Fun - Nope no affiliation to J&J (actually thought he was kind of an idiot myself), I'm just a freelancing smart ass that thinks the Made is a joke and anyone affiliated with it. I love to poke fun at the HAVES & stick up for the HAVE NOTS.

"iwearmysunglassesatnight" - 2 to 1 over STMA     All that money all that time and you barely beat a local small town association.

Way to go STMA, you pay a 1/4 the cost, 1/4 of the travel and your kids get to have a normal life!! :D

Three things and one question.

1. You must not have been there the shots were 28 -8 Fire
2. These players are skating where they feel will get the most inprovrment
3. That team (which is made of mostly the Machine players) is about
more than hockey but you could not know that because you are not
part of it.

? From the tone of your post it seems like you get some kind of a kick out
of the chance to make fun of these players and their families. Why?

Hats of to the STMA goalies they were outstanding.

Can we have a season without Fire bashing?
It's old and frankly pathetic, all the Fire are is another avenue
that someone has found, for kids to play hockey.
Embrace it

maybe its because people say things like ...

"3. That team (which is made of mostly the Machine players) is about
more than hockey ... "

quite frankly its sounds weird. But i don't care personally

That #3.. did sound like an oxy MORAN comment... if they are machine players it is all about hockey isn't it?

My take is the Fire is a good place for the people that don't have a uber association to play with and the parents want to keep their kids playing at a top level.. I won't bash the fire just the idiotic comments like the one above

Who cares where other kids play. If you have the money and time to throw into the Fire, and if you buy into the sales pitch of their coaches, then put your kid into that program and try to have fun. Frankly, certain larger assoications A teams in the metro area provide better coaches than the Fire at this time for a fraction of the cost of the Fire. I speak from experience having gone down both roads.

As always, buyer beware!

The 97 and 99 Fire are both undefeated but the 98s have been less successful - especially compared to last Season

2008 – 09: (W-L-T): 31-3-1 GF=220 GA=48

2009 – 10: (W-L-T): 4-3-1 GF=20 GA=18

Is this the same group from last Season? ie., 98 Machine

Actually I know coaches & parents on both sides of the puck from that game. Funny one machine/fire parent said you outshot them 40 to 5, but with anything this parent says I take it as BS :!:

Youre statement about it's not all about hockey is the reason why I love to poke fun at you arrogant machine/fire parents who think your kid is the best of the best, when in all reality you are the blindest of the blind when it comes to checkbook hockey

#1 squirt team in the country right
