I think that AJ Merritt is set to have a good senior season at Grand Rapids. The Krause kid at Hermantown but that might not qualify as a sleeper pick.

...zZz...

Sounds like boardmembers are sleeping too. Or there just aren't many sleepers this year. Sorry I can't help the cause though.

Jordan Palusky for Cathedral, he is a goal scorer for sure...hatrick in the first period i think in the state tourney against little falls, and scored quite a few others as well, i was impressed watching him last year, and would be more impressed if he became a faster skater, he needs to get the piano off his back and i think some colleges would take notice

Little Falls just had there dreams trashed and didn’t play in the first period from losing to go to the championship the night before. Little Falls came back with four goals after giving three goal lead. He is a good player, but needs support. It was the defense that made SCC to allow floaters in the neutral zone. That’s gone, time to back check and spend energy.

Jarret Sachs and Lane Noyes of North Branch will turn some heads on a much improved team.

Sachs had 7 goals in one scrimmage against you. He looked like a man playing with girls!!! You are an absolute idiot. ](*,)

What's a real game? 3800 student Eden Prarie against a recruited Hill Murray team??????????? Numbers is the only difference

Uh...in this case yeah! And no, numbers isn't the only difference. The biggest difference is the # of quality players. Look, we can bash privates or the big schools all we want but at the end of the day you can't tell me or anyone that a Hill/EP game isn't going to be better hockey or have more and better highly skilled players than a typical Chisago Lakes/NB game. While I'm not familiar with the guys your talking about but if a guy scores 7 goals in a game or scrimmage, he's likely a very good player, who is worth watching and ceratinly worthy of a comment on this post.

I get your point! But unless 3-4 smaller schools combine to have the same numbers as the mega schools there is an advantage. The point was for youngbuck08 to wake up..... How embarrasing it must be for MEGA school programs 3000 students to lose to little Roseau 250 students a couple years ago. Yes, overall AA is a little better but I'm not convinced that A schools would not have taken 3 or 4 championships the last 10 years if there was a combined tourney. No reason to dog class A hockey. It's a numbers thing :D

This years Breck team has 11 seniors that all lettered as Freshmen. While some of them probably can't be labeled as sleepers (Fulton, Morin and Russell who are all playing elites) I think several of the others may also emerge this year. Watch out for a very speedy Riley Borer (an elite alternate), his cousin Chuck Borer who was out for half the year with a shoulder injury, Cam Born who missed a bunch of games with a separated shoulder but still had 20+ points and Chase Nystedt who while small, has great hands and had 30 points last year.

They also have 4 very solid senior D in Michael Mooney-A big hitter with a booming shot, David Crowe-also a big hitter, Ben Gislason-quick with great hands and Joe Ziedler great size and range. These guys make life quite a bit easier for Mr Russell in the nets.

This team will likely have one of if not the deepest senior class is the state this year. Should be fun to watch.

I do have a clue.... but Thanks for worrying about me. The point of both of you being small teams and arguing about who is better on here is whats funny. I never compared you to EP nor Hill. Yet when you show up at a game and get beat, then start with the fighting you kind of lose any remorse anyways. Hey Good Luck this year and worry a little more about how you conduct yourself on the ice rather then what I type in here. Even if you are reall good players the crap you chose to do and the way you handle a loss to one of the bigger schools tells a lot.

Ryan Dwyer of Faribault should be a sleeper. He's a hardworking kid and good things always seem to come to him from that.

The senior line EP line of Rogge, Ericson and junior of Rau will dominate the Lake Conference. These kids will score 30+ goals and assists throughout the lake season. It is just a matter of how many goals they give up being offensive minded line.
