The easiest answer to that question is that you generally see these same 5 or 6 teams competing for the State title EVERY year.Nobodyonya wrote:Since this thread is about naming the top teams expand on why you believe they should be therepuckboy wrote:lets have em-

Centennial will be young this year, and the coaching staff has changed hands, and they weren't very good as peewees... i wouldn't be surprised if they miss the tourney again this year.Nobodyonya wrote:
It may be the easiest answer, but not necessarily the correct answer. Since 2001 Centennial played in the State Championship game 6 times, Wayzata, Eden Prairie,Edina, Wayzata and W.B.L. all 2 times. I agree with Max the next 5 teams would be much tougher to pick.
The question wasn't which two teams do you expect to play in the championships, but what are the top 5 teams. While you're right that that group of teams may not have been in the final game, they are GENERALLY always included in that top 5 discussion. Another indicator is to go back to years to see how this kids did when they were A PeeWees...although, you also need to be aware that some of the best 9th graders may leave those Bantam teams to play HS.Nobodyonya wrote:muckandgrind wrote:The easiest answer to that question is that you generally see these same 5 or 6 teams competing for the State title EVERY year.Nobodyonya wrote: Since this thread is about naming the top teams expand on why you believe they should be there

Don't for for a fact, but I've heard there might be a few....Will Besse be back at Wayzata?Chuck Norris Fan wrote:do you know any?muckandgrind wrote:PeeWees...although, you also need to be aware that some of the best 9th graders may leave those Bantam teams to play HS.
I heard besse is playing Varsity at Benilde...muckandgrind wrote:Don't for for a fact, but I've heard there might be a few....Will Besse be back at Wayzata?Chuck Norris Fan wrote:do you know any?muckandgrind wrote:PeeWees...although, you also need to be aware that some of the best 9th graders may leave those Bantam teams to play HS.
I don't think "dad" has anything to do with it...I could easily see Besse step into virtually any varsity roster this season. Let me put it this way, if Besse is back at Wayzata, it's because he wants to be back.observer wrote:"I heard besse is playing Varsity at Benilde..."
Ah, dad, you might want to wait for tryouts.
Right, I'm Besse's dad. You've got me pegged.observer wrote:"I heard besse is playing Varsity at Benilde..."

Chuck do not let the haters keep you from posting your weekly list, you do such a great job of ranking.Chuck Norris Fan wrote:Obviously this is just a preliminary list, and a lot depends on who is going to loose kids to HS. So don't hang me yet, lets revisit this in October.

Do you still think Maple Grove will be top 10 with out Jake coaching. I know they have a deep association to pick from but a quality coach (and it being a non-parent coach with no ties to people) can make a difference.Chuck Norris Fan wrote:Obviously this is just a preliminary list, and a lot depends on who is going to loose kids to HS.
