I was at a meeting of girls coordinators for District 8 on 9/10/09. Rochester and Cottage Grove will have 14UB teams this season. Both programs will have A and B teams.
Please respond if you know of other 14UB teams for the 09-10 seasons. If you are involved as a coach or manager with a 14UB team please send me a PM.
In 08-09 I think there were 14UB teams at Washburn, Chaska, Cambridge-Isanti, North Metro, Wayzata, White Bear, Osseo-Maple Grove, Edina, Burnsville, Centennial, Irondale and Minnetonka.

As of today Burnsville is planning on a U14B and a U14A team. They could use 2-4 more girls if anyone knows of someone.

In District 2, it's my understanding that Tartan will have a 14UB team but Mahtomedi won't have a 14U team (neither A nor B) at all. I think WBL will probably have a 14UB team again (along with 14UA). I heard that Stillwater likely won't have a 14UB this year (14UA only).

I've heard rumors that North St Paul and Roseville are getting together to form a coop for both 14a and 14b

Sounds like Burnsville could use more like 5 or 6 girls. This would enable them to have a U14A and B. Spread the word.

I just looked at the D6 website and no one has posted anything about needing players yet Burnsville.

More 14UB information...the following info is on the Como Area Hockey Association website:
"Dear U14 Parents and Skaters from District 1:
This season, all associations affiliated with the Twin Cities district will be participating in co-op tryouts. The associations participating include Washburn, Richfield, Southwest, Highland, Edison, Johnson, Irondale and Como. Highland Central Hockey Association will host the U14A team and Minneapolis Storm will host the U14B team."
Although I wonder about Irondale being included in this D1 co-op. It's my understanding that Irondale will co-op with Mounds View (D2) at many girls' levels this year, including 14U (likely one 14UA team - to be hosted by MV).

2 A and 1 B, that's some nice numbers. Is there a co-op involved or is this just Centennial's association?

Remember all of these are subject to some changes once registration, try-outs for HS are done.
