Just wondering where everyone would rank the perspective teams in District ten's Bantam level both A and B1 teams...have not been involved with this district the last two years and recently moved back into an association in this district. I would like to see who's on top and who's on bottom. Thanks

Not sure really but for me I am assuming both Elk River, and Centennial will both have a good A and B1 team and or teams.

This is just a guess, with the season not officially started. I heard Princeton and SLP are fielding A teams this year so I added them as well

1. COON RAPIDS
2. ELK RIVER
3. CENTENNIAL
4. BLAINE
5. ST CLOUD (if they keep their players)
6. ANDOVER
7. ANOKA
8. ROGERS
9. CHAMPLIN PK
10. PRINCETON
11. CINB
12. SPRING LAKE PARK

I noticed that last year Sauk Rapids had a really good B1 team do they not field an A team? What teams won districts from the A and B1?

Is the CR program on the rise -- or do they have a single strong class coming through? Didn't expect to see them ahead of ER and Centennial.

Not exactly on the rise...This class of players have finished strong in District 10 when they are in there 2nd year of each level. Finished as Champions of District 10 as "A" Squirts and were runner-ups as "A" Peewee's in the District 10 tournament to earn a birth in the Regions tourney. Team consists mainly as 2nd year players this year

Rumor has it that Coon Rapids will lose 2-4 skaters to the varsity squad.

Rumor is right......Can't be 100%, but I would be surprised to see any one of these players make the Varsity

Elk River belongs on top. Does Coon Rapids have a full team? I heard they had less than 30 kids tryout at the Bantam level.

Coon Rapids had 30 players at tryouts for Bantams they will be fielding an "A" Bantam and a "B2" Bantam team this year. The core group of players that have had success in the past are still together playing at the "A" level

Elk River is much faster and fairly big.

With all this talk about people fielding new A teams or associations not being able to produce enough players for three teams does this mean that there will be less then 16 B1 teams this year or do you think that there will still be two sections for B1?

DMom...Have you actually watched both of the teams you mentioned play this year as an early established "A" team or were they still going thru the tryout process?

Don't know about Sauk Rapids. Princeton has merged with
Becker/Big Lake at the bantam level and will skating an A team.

Yeah I just heard that Princeton and Becker/Big Lake merged, they created four teams originally they were going A,B1,B2, and C. But no one was going C so they are going to have two B2 teams instead. I am interested to see how they do.

Princeton and Becker each have a few from their associations that are
very skilled players. Putting them together, this could be a fun "A"
team to watch play. They will definately win their share of games.

Coon Rapids was done, but Elk River was still in tryouts. Not that Coon Rapids, wasn't good, they were, but IMHO not #1. I hope they prove me wrong, it wouldn't be a first for me

I wonder for teams like Princeton and SLP that are going A this year what the drop off rate from their A team to B1 team will be like. I know Centennial's B1 team didn't look to bad when I saw them at their tryouts. But they are the only team I have seen.

I heard that there will be around a dozen, depending if any of the C teams that moved up to B2 would bump a B2 team to B1??

When was the last time they did, or do they float in and out on this?

So I wonder then if they will be fielding a B1 team or if they will have A and B2?

So far I am thinking that there will be 16 A teams, and around 12-14 B1 teams. Maybe I am off, but I can always use some enlightenment.

And come to the conclusion of reading people's opinion's that Elk River, Centennial, and Coon Rapids could have strong A teams

B1 should be strong at Elk River, Centennial, besides that I am wondering who will have a shot...

Let me know if I am off or wayyyy off.
